Asami graduated early and Hiroshi decides to let Asami study abroad for a few years.

I’m getting requests done, but I really wanted to get this one started, it’s going to be pretty short, there’s still gunna be bending in it c:

Modern Au:(2/?) 

Two years have passed since Asami left. Upon learning that Korra is struggling to master her airbending, Hiroshi offers to try to help with a new serum him and a colleague are devolving meant to give a person’s strength a boost(and what better test subject than the Avatar. While she is reluctant to agree to being experimented on, eventually desperation wins out over reason.

Asami is currently studying with Bataar Sr. in Zaofu where Varrick also happens to be shooting the latest Nuktuk film starring the up and coming young mover star, Bolin. As he feels is his duty as her best(guy) friend, gives Asami a small nudge in the right direction–though they have had this conversation quite a few times before. Asami has learned it’s better to just agree with him even though she doesn’t feel she has the courage to open up to Korra just yet, especially after not having seen each other for two years.

Small Filler–Korra’s training with Hiroshi progresses more and more each session. Asami has a dream about when they were kids. Korra had gotten into a bit trouble for getting into so many fights at school, so when another kid tries to pick a fight with her to get her in trouble Asami steps in to help her out.

Hiroshi and the Red Lotus move forward with their plan to take down the Avatar.  Bolin and Asami start their Journey back to Republic City.

On their way back to the city, Bolin and Asami pass one of Future Industries previously closed factories, or so they believed–Hiroshi had been using the warehouse located outside of city limits to conduct his less than legal experiments. 

I like two things about this, Hiroshi having his moment stolen and that I finally am finished with this part.
