Interviewee's response: a.) How was your day yesterday? My day was quite productive! I managed to finish some work tasks, but it was a little exhausting balancing multiple things.

b.) What was a challenging or negative experience you faced yesterday? The main challenge was dealing with a technical issue with my computer. It slowed me down significantly, and I had to troubleshoot for quite some time before getting things back to normal.

c.) How would you like that problem to be resolved? Ideally, I’d love for my computer to have an automatic diagnostic feature that detects issues early and offers simple, step-by-step solutions without needing a lot of manual intervention. It would save me time and frustration.

My insight from the interview: From the interview responses, I learned that design thinking emphasizes understanding real-world problems by empathizing with users challenges, like the frustration experienced when facing technical issues. Father's Love❤

Family is what we have in bad times and good times. They help us grow to the best version of ourselves and guide us in our journey in life. We have our mother to lean on and a father to protect us. And a family is not always perfect, but as long as you hold on together, everything will be okay and stay strong forever.

Among the 3 videos I watched, I choose these Mother's Day special and Father's Day special videos. This 2 video hits me different that actually it made me cry.

Along my 17 years of existence, I am an only child. Full of love from family, support, needs, care, and kindness. I am so grateful that God gave me an amazing family. Along the way, life is not always about happiness but my Mother and Father are always there for me no matter what happen.

These two video shows love of parents, which I can relate on. I choose these videos because in life I am so grateful for both my mom and dad, to all the sacrifices they had to support my needs, studies, and even my grants. They may not be the perfect family as everyone ever wanted, but for me they are enough. They made me feel like I am a princess in our own castle, that I do not need a prince because my father is the best to be my King, that I do not need a sister because my mother is enough to be my sister and my queen. Nothing could ever beat there love given to me. And in the future if ever I have my own family, I will always cherish the love and lessons of life they taught me and apply it to my childrens. This may be sound cringe to some but I wanted to say, I love you mama and papa❤

"LOVE LANGUAGE TEST"

Upon taking the Love Language Test under the Teens category, I came up with the "Physical Touch" result as my Love Language.

And by this result, Yes I do agree with this because to be honest as a person I prefer to touch other people or to be touch to feel loved. I am a clingy type, able to express my affection through hugs, holding hands, touches on the arm, on the hips, and more. I prefer spending time with people I love and do amazing things with them physically rather than receiving gifts and be complimented by words. I feel safe whenever people hold me specially in crossing the streets, in crowded places and even when just walking. It was just so amazing to feel safe and loved whenever there are people concern to me and do crazy stuffs with me. So you, if you are reading this, be ready meeting me in person because I am a clingy type specially to my loved ones.

"Experience of Love"

Love is a set of emotions and behaviors characterized by intimacy, passion, and commitment. It involves care, closeness, protectiveness, attraction, affection, and trust. Love can vary in intensity and can change over time. Love is defined in any forms based in your own experience. Love varies in different ways, we have the love for God, love for Family, love for Friends and even Love for Pets. But one is only certain, Love is what every human feel towards other person.

When we talk about love, mostly first comes in mind is all about Lovers. And if we talk about that I honestly experience having a boyfriend before but somehow it is just a Puppy Love. Our personal development teacher tasked us to share our experiences of love and I wanna share to you right now a story of my long term crush.

Back when I was in elementary we cannot deny the fact that we have crushes. Way back grade 4 I had my crush named "Ash", we had similarities in other things that is why I am attracted. I idolized him for about 5 years, grade 4 to grade 9. We become lovers in Grade 8 but don't get me wrong it's just a puppy love and it doesn't last long as expected. We remain friends after that and until today we still bond just like other people do as close friends. In this story of our's, I do realize that in this world full of 7 billion people, we tend to have that one person who we had crush on. And remember nothing's wrong having a crush if you also handle it correctly. I mean having a crush means having an inspiration too to go on with your life and to impress. It becomes your strength to go on with your dreams.

But always remember love doesn't only settle to lovers relationship but also to family and specially to God. Even if Love is defined in different ways, it is one of the most wonderful feeling we always have towards other person and nothing can deny that. Cherish your precious life with love specially a love coming from your family, friends, and specially the most wonderful love we always have the LOVE OF GOD. What makes you happy? When are you happy?

I just wanna answer this question simple, it’s my Family, Pets, Foods, Kdrama’s, and specially God who showered me blessings that makes me Happy. Every time I spent time with  my Family specially in church is a happy moment I cherish. Also playing with my Cats makes my day extra special. And watching Kdrama’s with foods beside me is wonderful moment that I do really like so much. 

To be specific, last Saturday is also a happy moment of my life because for how many months finally I met my classmates during the distribution of Id’s. It is a day to remembered as we spent time together in the mall and getting to know more each other. From faces of the screen of online class to reality meet up. Here is a picture of us:

WHICH SIDE OF YOUR BRAIN DOMINANTS?

I found this activity entertaining and informative. In some point of my life finally I knew which side of my brain is dominant.  And upon doing the 9 items test, I found out that I am dominant on the left side of brain.

In this video, it shown 4 exercises to test how fast our brain is and these exercises are the following:

Exercise 1: Multi Colored Text Benefits: It helps to prevent Alzheimer’s  Disease by establishing new connections between the Hemispheres and improves concentration and attention-switching abilities.

Exercise 2: Schulte Table Benefits: This exercise increases the reception and processing of information speed and develops Peripheral Vision. 

Exercise 3: Finger Gestures Benefits: Trains attention and develops the ability to switch from one task to another quickly.

Exercise 4: Bimanual Synchronous Writing Benefits: Synchronous writing teaches your brain to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, thus stimulating the activity of both hemispheres. 

Mr. Lawrence F. Katz- develop a system of exercises to help your brain maintain it’s functions into a ripe old age. 

I found this video entertaining and ofcourse helpful for the Brain. I will try my best to conduct this exercises frequently. So I am encouraging everyone to have this kind of exercise.

What situation do you consider as Positive Stress? As Negative Stress? Are you aware of your tripping point when it comes to stress?

Things that goes around myself, I am really trying to faced all of it positively but sometimes I just can’t help feeling anxious.

Having a lot of activities in school is what I consider as a Positive stress. Why? Because having these tons of activities to compile it makes me feel Productive and Focused. I do really have a  “planner” to manage my time wisely in all activities to make. And also one fun fact about is I like going to SM Downtown Premiere to feel motivated. Going inside of that mall is also my consideration of Positive Stress because as I look everywhere I can found many nice shops and I promise myself that in the near future, I will comeback here and buy all I want without noticing the price tag. That’s my way to be motivated. 

For the negative stress, Family Matters is what I consider for this. Having a Family problem is not easy and we all know that. One night, I heard my mom and dad fighting each other and that scenario makes me cry all night and feel anxious. I think that night is one of my darkest night of my life. 

When I am feeling down and rattle, that’s the time I know that I am experiencing stress. I hate procrastinating that is why I do really manage my time wisely but when time comes that I do not know what to do first, I am so stressed out of that. Also when I am crying all day long that is the tripping point of my stress. And the worst part is, when I am not in the mood to eat that is also a sign of my stress and I do really hope that I can overcome all of this stresses.

“Dealing with the Challenges of Adolescence Stage”

Do you believe that adolescence is a period of stress and storm? Why? *Adolescence is a period between childhood and adulthood. It prepares you for being independent and matured. It is an exciting period as well as frightening period. So to answer that question, Yes I do believe that this is a period of stress and storm. Why? Because as we are growing up, it makes us confused of some happenings in life. We are prone to stress due to many changes experienced including physical change, independence, increased salience of social and peer interactions, maturation, and brain development. For some point in life, being an adolescent enables you to have many priorities to handle including academic concerns and career options, relationship among adolescents, and family matter in which somehow it is consider as an issue in this adolescent period. Adolescent period awakened you to the reality of world in which their are a lot of challenges we faced in everyday. But ofcourse even if we are facing stress and storm as an adolescent, we can still enjoy our life in this period. We can fight the stress in many ways. Because remember Hans Selye once said, “It’s not stress that kills us; it’s our reaction to it”.

Hi I am Kriezl Jane V. Torres, a 17 year old girl living a simple life and proudly saying that I am part of the Adolescents group. Being an adolescent is a gap between childhood and adulthood. There are a lot of changes that go on in terms of physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. The purpose of adolescence is to transform a person from a child to an adult. And being an adolescent also comes with a great responsibility.

So the question for today is, how would you describe your current situation as an adolescent?

-I am living in this world for 17 years counting and through the years being teen is a once in a lifetime experience that I cherish. If I would describe my current situation as an adolescent honestly it is a roller coaster ride. I experience my first puberty way back in 2nd year of high school and that's the start of my roller coaster experience. I got my first puppy love heartbreak which is cringe to say hahaha, I am able to try shop on the mall without my parents, tried to drink wine in occasions, ride jeepneys/cars alone, and many more to mention. I am slowly becoming an independent woman in this world I lived in.

Is it a period of stress or are you slowly strengthening your identity?

-In my current situation right now, I am able to handle challenges smoothly. I am in the period where I am slowly strengthening my identity. To be specific, here is one of my experience as an adolescent. Last year 2020 I was full of problems in terms of family, financially, personally and more. It is a jam-pack experience where in all problems collide as one. But despite the situation, I am still grateful of what happened because I am able to learn something out of it. It enables me to become a strong woman I am today. In every problem that I encounter, it becomes my inspiration to de better in the next day up until next week and so on. Instead of being down, I just lift up myself that I can do better and even best next time, just let the problems passed by. And most specially, I do able to surpassed those challenges with the guidance of our Almighty God. That's how my adolescent life goes on.

A man was driving his car drunk and he ran over a young girl... and killed her. He was sentence to prison. The girl's mother could only feel sadness and hatred, she hated her daughter's killer with all her heart. But one day she realized all that hate was hurting her as much as what happened, and she decided to let go, to forgive, with all her heart. She needed all her will, all her power and all her faith to do that, but she did it, and then she felt an overwhelming peace.The man was sentenced to 22 years in prison, but this mother plead before the judge and got his sentenced cut by half, from 22 years to only 11 years. Now, she says, "he's part of my family”. Christian songwriter Matthew West heard the story and was inspired by it, so he decided to write this song. The song is about doing the impossible, forgiving the unforgivable, because of God's grace. A lyrics from the song:

Show me how to love the unlovable Show me how to reach the unreachable Help me now to do the impossible Forgiveness, Forgiveness This song enables me to realize that in this world full of circumstances and grudges, our own self is our mortal enemy. The hate we feel towards a person is hurting us much compared to the sin they got us. This song talks about Forgiveness, we must set free all of the grudges and hatred we fell. The anger and all of the sadness, set it free for a peaceful mind and soul.  The question for today is, have you ever met a person who is complex that is difficult to fully understand? -Yes I do and it’s me, myself and I. Through the years passes, everyday I discover the inner me. In my decisions in life, I questioned myself, is it right or wrong? Am I in the right path or not? I consider myself as a complex person. And what makes me as a complex character is I do really doubt myself from my existence to my traits, talents, experiences and more. Like “hey girl it’s yourself, why are you afraid to go on? why are you not able to moved on?”. Me as a person sometimes do not understand my own self. I questioned everything I do and etc. But through  the years as this happened I just talk to God like “Lord I do not know if this is right, even me cannot understand the true me but I trusted you my Lord, I am praying for the guidance and right path of my decisions. I offer my life to you oh God”. Even though I do not understand me, I am just praying for the guidance and go with the flow of life. And that’s how my life goes on. 

What is your take away with the lesson? The lesson for today is all about being Mindful to our self. I am able to understand the Holism and Dualism. Also the Physiological Development is discussed and Cognitive Development as the process of knowing which includes remembering,  attending, and reasoning. Also I am able to know the real meaning of attitude, feeling, emotion, virtue and more. This lesson will enable us to evaluate and be mindful to our self, to appreciate and be aware of yourself.

“Knowing yourself”

1.) Do you know yourself? “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom”,  a phrase coined by Aristotle before centuries ago which seems to be absolutely correct in today’s world too. We are so busy in evaluating everybody else that we sometimes forget to peep into our own self. The fact is “happiest person are those who are evaluating and improving their own self and the unhappy people are those who usually indulged in evaluating and judging others.” Thus we can say that Self- evaluation is the key to all success”. Upon this question asked to me by our personal development teacher, I realize that Do I really know myself or I am just depending on what others saw me as I am? To be honest I am an Introspectors, I know myself but fail to get feedback from others. To answer that specific  question, yes I know myself but not all. I only know that I can dance or I can listen to other peoples problem but afraid to get feedback from them. Those little things I know about myself means a lot to me anymore. And I am always ready to discover more. 2.) How did you learn these things about yourself? I only mentioned above that I am capable to dance and I listen to other peoples problem, but to be specific I know more a lot of those two mentioned about myself. I can cook, I can clean, I have a little confidence to speak out in many people and many of those. I am able to discover myself as I am growing up and guided by my parents. I do believe that knowing and discovering oneself is you need a person(s) to help you too and those are my parents who enables me to discover who I am right now. 3.) Where did the information come from? To be honest I am a type of person who is afraid to ask feedback about myself to other people. Like example if their is an open forum, I am not comfortable to ask them like “how do you see me as a person?” and other stuff  like that, I only wait that they are the one’s who really tell me directly without me asking. So to answer that question, sometimes I do hear and know what other people think of me. To be specific by my friends, classmates, strangers, etc., I get false informations about myself or also known as “backstabbing”. 4.) Do you like what you know? If I hear compliments, yes I admit that I like it and at the same time shy because I am not used to hear other people’s feedback as what I mentioned above. But what makes me sad and disappointed is that when other people have false information that I know myself that it is not true. But even though I like it or not of what I know, I do not depend on what other people says, I am just being me and will always be me. “Myself, My rules!”.

“The Good and the Bad: How Social Media Affected Me as a Gen Z Individual”

Many years have pass, technology evolves also as human. It also uses for work, professionals and non-professional, even children uses technology. We all know that Gen Z is the newest generation to be named and were born between 1996 to 2015. The good side of social media in this generation it can easily adapt the environment and it can helps students communicate through zoom or Google meet especially nowadays online classes have just been started. Find new friends and communities. Join or promote worthwhile causes, raise awareness on important issues. And it includes developing critical thinking by using social media for school projects. This is one of the reasons why social media is highly recommended in our generation. And without all of these we have fewer references. As students encounter pressures and anxieties in their daily lives, just one video or motivational quote can rekindle their self-confidence and maybe even reveal their true desires in life. If there’s a good side on behalf there always a bad side also; too much social media can harm students they can’t focus on their lessons. This is the main reason why others failed. Cyber bullying is the famous cases in social media about 10 percent of teens report being bullied many other users are subjected to offensive comments too. It is not easy tolerating ourselves relaying in social media, most of us in this world are sharing endless selfies and all your innermost thoughts on social media can create an unhealthy self- centered and distance you from real-life connections. Additionally, it gives us loads of information as we have different search engines that we can use to feed our learning necessity. Also, the good quality of Social Media is we can get easily the information to learn such things that we did not know. On the other hand, social media also made us a better version of ourselves as we continue discovering our skills by watching different platforms and contents from inspirational people behind the social media. Digital divide is comparing a person who has an access in technology and internet to those who haven't. In this modern days, it is a big issue especially in schools. Hinterland schools is far from the urban cities and the problem is they can't access internet and few of them have a cellular phones. The signal of internet is too weak in this area and it is really hard to them to communicate and get an info's comparing to urban cities. But some living in urban cities are poor and can't afford to buy this things. In this pandemic, online class is using for educational system in the world and Philippines is one of the user of this. Some students are successfully using online class but some doesn't. Lots of students have experience weak internet connection and app crashing because some are using mobile data and not high quality phones. At this point when the issue is an absence of satisfactory computerization its is a big issue and it needs an action take on. Web conferencing, PC enhanced proficiency programs and authoritative cooperation can drastically help change the advanced partition into circumstances wide.

We students have a limited access on technology and internet that allows us gather information and knowledge that is essential to advance in our education and generating creative ideas. As a student, we also experience situations that we cannot cope up in modern technology due to many circumstances like the lack of technologies for education purposes; lack of skills in using modern technology ; the cost of technology; access of disabled; doesn’t have any internet connection or slow internet connection(it defers in which country are you). In our opinion on how to bridge the gap of digital divide there are several ways for example the user or student are lacking in skills in using modern technology we need to empower user help them discover their potentials and skills in using modern technology and help them to know the capabilities of a computer, internet infrastructure development because it is one of the main reasons in 3rd world countries that has slow internet connection and Philippines is the one of those countries. Also we think that the government takes an action to bridge gap on digital divide because in this country, we are left behind.
