With this 253rd win, Coach Sullivan surpasses past Penguins coach Dan Bylsma. Kris Letang gets 2 points in Pens 5-4 OT loss to the Florida Panthers!

Kris Letang’s total season point total is up to 4. We’re already 2 games into the season so that’s pretty impressive! His first point came from an assist on Jeff Carter’s 2nd period goal. Kris would have an assist on Jake Guenztel’s 3rd period goal for his 2nd point of the game. The Penguins lost to the Panthers 5-4 in OT.

Kris Letang receives his 1st point of the season from an assist on Dominik Simon’s 3rd period goal. Later, Kris got his 2nd point of the game from an assist on Teddy Bluegar’s late 3rd period goal! The Penguins blasted the Lightning out at home, winning 6-2 to open the 2021-2022 season!

One of my favorite quotes: “Every single thing I tried to accomplish in the summer, or in the season – which could be video or sitting down with (assistant coach Todd Reirden) and working on different things – is all just to accomplish one goal, and one goal only,” Letang said. “To win games and win a championship. So I’m excited again. I’ve said for the last 15 years that when you have a guy like Sid or a guy like Geno on your team, it’s pretty hard not to think that you’re a Cup contender.

Kris Letang announces the winner of the 2020-21 Kevin-Lowe Trophy!

Kris announced the winner of the top defensive defenseman of the QMJHL! The award is the Kevin-Lowe Trophy and Kris won it in 2006-2007 when he played for the Val D’or Foreurs! Watch the video below:
