Transit For All

I’ve been using public transportation regularly since 2008 and it always baffles me how hesitant people in Michigan are to take it. I moved to San Francisco at 23 years old with my Jetta and hardly ever used it- even a Northern Michigan girl who had never lived outside of her home state felt dragged down by a car 2,200 miles away.

18 years and six cities later, I have been observing, using, and documenting transit all over the country. I couldn’t be happier to see the positive votes for SMART funding and am excited to continue to advocate for walkability, safer streets, and equitable transit for ALL.

Being car-free isn’t a phase or circumstance, it’s a lifestyle that my mind, body, and spirit thanks me for every day. 🌿
