As a nurse, what are your thoughts on Coronavirus? Do you think the media is blowing this way out of proportion?

Yes, and not blowing it up the correct way.

Corona strains have been around for centuries, but there was not this media fire to push it. SARS is a Corona strain and that freaked everyone out for a minute and now we haven't heard about it as a problem in a long time. It's still around, but the panic died down.

In normal, healthy people, it will likely present like various range of flu. Yeah it can make you damn sick. Those who should be appropriately worried are the elderly, immunocompromised, and those with chronic lung conditions like COPD. Those people need to protect themselves but everyone else needs to help protect them too by using smart hygiene and staying home when sick. Cough into your arm or covered then wash your hands right away. It can be picked up on surfaces and as droplets in the air.

If everyone stayed calm and smart, this would fade down like everything else that we're told will wipe us out every year. I only wish people would get this alert to influenza annually because that has killed so many more.

Four Walls & Dubcon

I want to start this off by saying my inbox and messages are always open. Please, please feel free to talk to me about anything, especially what happens in this fic, whether it’s because you have concerns or you want to discuss a certain aspect you don’t understand or you just want to rant at me or congratulate me, I’m here for it all! This is a delicate issue, something people view very, very differently. My anon option is always on, so if you’re more comfortable with that, that’s more than okay as well.

I’ve gotten a vastly wide range of reactions to the recent Four Walls update, 11:56 p.m. Verdant, and it’s both amazing and intense, which is exactly what I expected going into this update.

I wasn’t being wishy-washy when I said Oliver and Felicity’s first weeks are dark, and it’s something we will see throughout their relationship - not to this degree because ultimately, that’s not who Oliver and Felicity are (such as how they act together at the Queen & Queen Holiday Party (10:18 p.m. Queen Manor) for example, which is a few months after this update), but they don’t have a healthy relationship in this fic, and it takes them a long time to get to a point where they can be in something someone might call ‘healthy’.

That being said, I wanted to talk about some of the responses I’ve gotten and what happened in this recent ficlet:

Her boyfriend just started his own fashion label, and they picked a perfect apartment to live in together. The more heartbroken she was when Oliver got cold feet and it all ended. Now, Felicity is coming back to Starling City, well aware that she is destined to run into her ex-boyfriend there. While old feelings revive quickly, the pain still goes deep. Besides, for some reason Oliver seems to be angry with her.
