From the outside, the Chioggia Beet looks just like your ordinary root vegetable. But cut it in half and you'll find endless rings of bright pink and white candy-stripes—something the work of Dr. Seuss. Extremely private individuals, the rare Chioggia Beet is an insightful heirloom variety, nonetheless leaving a noticeable mark on the world. Always helping others can be tiring work, and the Chioggia can tend to burn out easily—they would do well to relax more. Creative, inspiring, passionate, and extremely supportive, early maturation gives the Chioggia Beet a most delightful sweet disposition.
I know "spirit ___" is problematic phrasing, but I am personally thrilled with my veg-identity.
So I just woke up and my first thought was “what if in the four horsemen of the apocalypse, pestilence was one of those anti-vax moms?”
quite frankly the four white suburban soccer-moms of the apocalypse would scare me way more

Illustrations by Jean “Moebius” Giraud
Jean Giraud (1938 - 2012) was a French artist, cartoonist and writer who worked in the Franco-Belgian bandes dessinées (comics) tradition. Giraud garnered worldwide acclaim predominantly under the pseudonym Moebius and to a lesser extent Gir. His most famous works include the series Blueberry, created with writer Jean-Michel Charlier, featuring one of the first anti-heroes in Western comics. As Moebius, he created a wide range of science fiction and fantasy comics in a highly imaginative, surreal, almost abstract style. Moebius also contributed storyboards and concept designs to numerous science fiction and fantasy films, such as Alien, Tron, The Fifth Element and The Abyss. Giraud died in Paris, on 10 March 2012, aged 73, after a long battle with cancer.
