A very old set of works I did in the context of a roleplaying server. The idea was to make a tarot-like deck that would delineate my oc's main struggles and psychological states. Lately I've discovered that I haven't actually uploaded them anywhere.

Never since could I find time or capability to recapture this graphic, concise and simple style that, in my view, works so well.

Maybe I will, one day.

Eccentric Wayfarer

"A loony thing, ambling about with a flutter of grass-cloak and wet hair. The broken key he wears instead of a pendant was supposed to open something terrible deep, deep in his past. It won't open anything anymore, for better or worse. In stark juxtaposition to his vagabondish look, the man can easily ensnare an unwitting victim within the tangles of ornate, civil and entirely pointless small-talk. Manners do not make a man, only an efficient liar."

A glowy-eyed mercenary

An old and rickety wizard tower, or, rather, a handful of towers haphazardly smashed into one structure to serve every whim of whatever maniac resides inside.

CROFT. LARA CROFT.

A comic-booky/heroic take on Lara Croft, a.k.a the Tomb Raider. I used her classic design as a base, gave her attire a bit more... function? utility? I've also ditched her iconic glasses for the flashlight headpiece. Cave delvers do rely on those, right?

To tackle this one I've made an attempt to reference Hicham Habchi's drawing style as he sits in the pantheon of my favourite artists. I've also used Mohammed Agbadi's colouring advices to do the shading. The former has an active page on Artstation while the latter can be found on Youtube. Both are stellar human beings.

Back again onto the neverending quest of finding out what and how do I draw, this time with an entire process of doing a character. This time I learned that in order to be properly viewed in web an image must be converted into sRGB colorspace. The more you know.

PS: There's something irresistible about wide-brimmed hats.

RICKETY TOWER

To make this one I did an interesting back and forth between 2d and 3d and back again. Starting with initial sketch in PS I then constructed a simple representation of this tower in Blender, took the render image out and shoved it back into PS to use as loose guide for the linework. When THAT was done - I referenced the 3d render to do the shading stage more accurately.

THE UNSEEN

An unwelcome visitor. An unexpected intruder. An unwanted presence. She skulks betwixt the gaps of morality and laws, her intentions and identity almost as unimaginable as her purpose in this foreign land. The fickle trail, upon which The Unseen treads, wreathes and turns, but, time and time again, inevitably leads towards the mysterious horror of The Beast, as all roads must.

Detached Head

A little something I’ve done as a warm-up, or, rather, a warm-down. A cool-down? Whatever. Figured out I’d post this scrap in any case because there’s really no standard to uphold and there’s not much I could do to make this page look even worse, ugh
