Uther did not tell him where the key was, but his gaze involuntarily flicked in a direction and the sword clanged to the ground as he backed up.

He knew he could not beat Arthur here.

Arthur kicked the sword away and then rushed for the shelves in the direction Uther’s eyes had twitched. A box revealed a key that looked to be made of the same bone as the cage. Arthur turned back around, key in hand, and took one moment to make sure his father was backed in the corner as he ordered. Then he rushed to the cage, to his Merlin.

Arthur shoved the key into the lock as he watched Merlin's body go from laying still inside the cage to convulsing again; his eyes rolled back into his skull. His skin was even paler than before. 

As the door opened, Arthur rushed to Merlin's side, kneeling beside him and bracing his head.

“Merlin!”

Merlin went limp on the ground again; the rolling of his eyes was his only movement. Arthur grabbed the bottle on the ground near Merlin's head and shoved it into his belt. He didn’t trust his father enough to ask what other poison he had used. 

He lifted Merlin into his arms.

“I’ve got you. It's over. It's over. Just hold on.”

the art of tarot reading

sometimes the cards feel like a puzzle with missing pieces. you know what each card means on its own, but when they’re sitting there together on the table, it’s just... silence.

i created this guide because i wanted to move past that 'dictionary phase.' i wanted to be the one holding the map to have the freedom to sit down with my deck at any hour and actually understand the story it was trying to tell me, without always needing to look elsewhere for clarity.

this 47-page masterclass is for the reader who is ready to bridge the gap between simple definitions and real intuition. it’s about learning the hidden language of the cards so you can finally trust what you’re seeing, on your own terms.

rules of the table: how card hierarchy and the way figures face each other can pivot the entire message of a spread.

to give you a glimpse of how we actually decode these patterns inside:

the manipulative return: if you ask about an ex and see the devil + 7 of swords + the tower, the universe is handing you a warning. it’s a sign that the return isn't coming to heal, but to dismantle. the foundation is rooted in obsession, and the moves being made are strategic rather than honest.

the cloud of uncertainty: when the moon + 4 of cups + 8 of cups appear together, it’s like a silent fog. the obstacle is an unspoken fear. if the figure in the 8 of cups is turned away, it means you’re not actually stuck you’re just clinging to old patterns that no longer fulfill you.

the rules of the table: we look at the direction of the gaze. if the figure in the 8 of pentacles is facing toward a difficult card, it means you’ve accepted the change and are ready to work. if their back is turned, it’s a sign of temporary exhaustion or resistance.

it’s about more than just learning tarot; it’s about reclaiming your own inner dialogue and building a path you actually feel confident in.
