I’d just like to say that I’m very sorry to all the Clintasha shippers if I offend any of you, but I’m NOT sorry about Clint/Hawkeye’s story and the fact that he has a wife and family and home all of which he cares deeply for, and that he and Tasha are not an item, and apparently never were.
I actually LOVE the idea. I love the house, the homestead is beautiful, I like Laura a lot! I like the fact that he’s in love with a woman he respects and respects him back. From what we know of her so far, she is a good woman, very supportive of his ‘Avenging’ and they are very much in love.
And, like I said, he RESPECTS her. And she respects him just as much!
Seriously, how awesome is that?!
Now, hows that for a HERO?! Clint is a real HERO. That’s a real role model for young men all over the world! That’s what being a man is all about, being strong enough to love like that! And would do anything to protect those you love. And Laura is a real hero too, by the way she loves him enough to let him love his friends and stand with them and fight and save innocent lives.
And that’s not such an obvious fact, you have to be a certain kind of person to pick up on this I guess, but during the conversation Clint and Laura have at the house, he reveals that he loves his friends as well. Laura understands that and supports that as well. See, good woman.
Clintasha was just silly, they treated each other like brother and sister in the first movie, there was no spark there, sorry but it just wasn't there and those who thought they saw something, well, what you saw was just a genuine platonic affection and caring for each other. I've been saying that all along.
Besides that, Tasha knew about his family in the first movie, obviously, knew Laura and the kids, knew Laura was pregnant, the kids asked for her by name when they all got to the house, called her Auntie Tasha for Christ’s sake! ....Yeah, Clint and Tasha are best friends, maybe even consider each other a brother and sister, but lovers? No.
Also, I called it when I said that Tasha had better chemistry with Banner than she did with Hawkeye. And I was really hoping I was right because really those two will make a good couple. But, what Banner did (in Hulked out mode) at the end of the battle was heartbreaking, even though he has a good reason, he could have taken Tasha with him. But, like Banner himself said “Where can I go?” SHIELD will find him when they need him again. Or he’ll realize they need him and come back on his own.
I like Tasha and Banner together, I think it’s going to be a very sweet and satisfying story line.
Hawkeye is now my new favorite Avenger....Oh wait HE ALREADY WAS my favorite Avenger!! :D
So, yeah, that’s my opinion, my point of view, so let me have it.
This should be interesting.
