July Reads | Fic Rec List

It's 21st July! And I know this is an odd time for me to release this month's list, but it's my birthday today, so I figured I'd share the monthly event a bit early this month as a lil' gift from me to all you lovely folks who've stuck around with this blog for as long as ya'll have! Gonna be treating myself all day, so figured I'd start off with a treat for you guys first! 🥳🎂✨

Welp okay, this time last year, I was desperately job hunting, freelancing on the side to get any and every project under the sun in my hands, and stress that was starting to make my hair go grey and fall out. And I'd just started making my first list on here, thinking "This is gonna be a bank of fics for when I just need to switch off from the world." Fast forward a year later, finally employed, significantly less stressed, and a couple of hundred followers later, my lists have officially gotten out of hand, and now I've got to make a list for my lists, lol. I still revert to being a hermit in times of stress; I still just burrow down with your fics to give me comfort. In that sense, I am nothing but consistent 😌

And while once again, an author's note has gotten away from me, all this is to say: thank you. Thank you for the fics all of you write. Thank you for being my comfort when I couldn't turn to anything else. I don't think I can ever accurately express my gratitude, but my making these kinda list is a tiny attempt at it. Here's a lil token of love from my end, and hope your day is lovely as mine is today!
