Spring’s vest is equipped for two leashes so Charla can handle the dog and Shyanna can also stay attached. For some situations an additional tether is attached to the harness and Shyanna’s waist, a more secure way to keep Shyanna with Spring. ©Krystina Beach
“Will you please,” Charla sighs as she tries to gather her kids, Shyanna and Conner out of the middle of the road where they have stopped. ©Krystina Beach

Conner, 5, and Shyanna, 7, race to get up the steps at The Plains Community Park near their house. Spring looks on, occasionally barking and whining alerting to the smell of certain body chemicals from Shyanna’s seizure earlier in the day. ©Krystina Beach
After being beaten to the finish line Shyanna has a small fit. Meltdowns and increased crying were just two of the symptoms that let to Shyanna’s diagnosis. ©Krystina Beach
