Yorgos Lanthimos is of the old school of fearless directors, he seems unbothered by trends and is talented enough to keep making exactly what he wants to make. I admire his craftsmanship and the biting sense of dark humor and satiric fantasy that peppers everything he makes - you could almost call it science fiction if it wasn’t so uniquely his own thing. Dystopian, sure.
