DISNEY IS DYING!!! Sort of.
Disney hasn't been doing well for some time now from all the different franchises they own and all the new stuff they release just feels like they're desperately trying to make us like their stuff again to the extent that they don't put much effort into things anymore. There is one thing I feel like could potentially save them which is Varian and The Seven Kingdoms. I'm being serious here, I genuinely think if Disney gave this show a chance, it would save them. It already has a massive fan base for a show that doesn't even exist. I would literally kill someone for this show. Repost this on all platforms, I need disney to see this.
Just found out my books and my blog is being featured and highlighted in a blog post for indie authors!
I’m speechless and just extremely grateful! Everyone: you can’t love someone you’ve never even met.
Me: ...false.
But I HAVE met him !!!!!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Made me love him a hundred times more
Black Knight. Kit Harington. My version .
Remember how David Benioff and D.B. Weiss planned for Sansa to be forcibly married to and raped by Ramsay since Season 2 Remember how Alex Graves referred to Ramsay as Sansa’s “love interest” when he was telling Sophie Turner about her Season 5 storyline Remember how Bryan Cogman referred to Sansa’s forced marriage and rape as “a hardened woman making a choice”
Remember how Sophie was barely legal when the scene was shot Remember how literally nothing about Sansa marrying Ramsay made sense Remember how D&D were fine with cutting Arianne Martell’s entire character arc but they absolutely had to include this storyline Remember how D&D claimed they loved this storyline but adapted nothing from it except Ramsay raping his wife
The North suddenly didn’t remember, but we surely do
Remember how the director forced the actress playing Osha to shave her pubic hair. Even though she vehemently argued that her character, a wildling, would have no reason to do so.
Remember how Sophie was made to defend her characters story arc and the producers decision, even though she was barely 18.
Remember how they cut Alayaya and Chataya, Independent black women who celebrated their sexuality and created a safe space for other prostitutes and for Tyrion. Alayaya, not Ros, who was beaten by Cersei’ s men who left scars on her.
Remember acorn hall, were we never got to meet Lady Smallwood who treated Arya like a lady, and was kind to her. One of the few female influences in her storyline.
Remember how they made Arya ‘a woman is important too’ Stark say that most girls are stupid?
Remember how they simply discarded Elia and her children through a ‘divorce’ bc they had to have Jon as the only legitimate child of Rhaegar?
Remember how Natalie Dormer was against having a scene where she seduced tommen because the actor was fifteen and they made her do it by using the excuse that it was in the books, even though book tommen was eight and it never happened.
Remember how they told Natalie Dormer that Tommen was 17 in season 5, but Dean Charles Chapman thought he was 12 and played him as a 12 year old (Because he was in the show continuity)?
We`re also forgetting that Aidan Gillen did not want to kiss Sophie because she was barely legal and was around the same age as his daughter and it made him feel sick to do it.
Remember when they mocked Ian McElhinney for complaining that his character was being killed off much earlier than in the books by saying “that made us want to kill him even more”
Dude fuck D&D
ALL OF THIS
With Kit joining the MCU, I thought I’d write a few short notes on Black Knight and the greater movie ‘verse for non-nerds. I’m not expert in this character in particular but I have come across him in various comics, so here’s a brief description.
History: typically complicated and will no doubt be radically changed for the films, much like many other MCU movie characters. In short, there have been three Black Knights, one of whom was a bad guy - the uncle of Dane Whitman, the version Kit will be playing. Although Dane was born in America, his family is British and he’s affiliated with many British superheroes, so I’m guessing that they’ll make him English for the films.
Powers: Nil! Sorry, friends. Not inherently, anyway. Just like Tony Stark, Hawkeye, Ant-Man and Wasp and many others, Dane Whitman doesn’t have any sort of superhuman abilities. However, he’s a scientific genius (seems like every second person in the MCU is!), supremely athletic, an incredible swordsman and expert horseman. Those last three sound familiar?
(At various times in his history he has been endowed with special abilities, e.g. as a result of using the magical Ebony Blade, but these didn’t become permanent features.)
Appearance: In the comics, he’s tall and bulky (heh), with brown hair and eyes. Not known for being soulfully beautiful, so there’s an upgrade! Occasionally costumed and caped, but is also seen in skinny jeans and a leather jacket. Ahem.
Affiliations with current MCU movie characters: The obvious one is Sersi of the Eternals, with whom he is in a relationship. He’s also worked with Doctor Strange, who helped him get rid of a curse on his sword. But more importantly, he actually becomes an Avenger. So, while the character is relatively unknown to non comic book geeks, there is a lot of potential for him going forward.
Movie Version: The Black Knight is appearing in the Eternals in what is likely to be a small role. Feige et al. have done this multiple times: a new character is initially introduced to the ‘verse by making a small but significant contribution in one film before going on to formally join an ensemble +/- a solo feature. Examples of such characters and their first appearances include Black Widow (Iron Man 2), Hawkeye (Thor), Black Panther (Captain America, Civil War) and the new Spider-Man (also Captain America, Civil War).
There were even rumours last year* that BK was being considered for his own film, possibly even a trilogy. Now, I wouldn’t get too hopeful about that, because it was probably only one of the many proposals being knocked around over at Marvel. Since he’s so unknown, I suspect they’ll wait to see how the character plays out on screen before making much of a commitment. If he does make another appearance, my guess is that it’ll be in the next Doctor Strange film. Their connection has already been teased in the first movie (and no, I didn’t pick up on this myself! Other more observant nerds did):
That there is a version of Black Knight’s helmet. The Ebony Blade was also supposed to be there (and was made for that purpose), but for some reason didn’t make it into the final cut.
So, there you have it. Don’t expect Kit to play a huge part in the Eternals, but let’s hope we’ll see more of him in future films.
* thanks @elephantandthedove for the heads up on that!

I didn’t get into this for fame, I genuinely didn’t. I love acting, and I know that’s a cliche, but I didn’t, really, I was very naive when it came to the whole being recognized thing.

i truly must say, it brought tears to my eyes when so much of the game of thrones cast was finally nominated for an emmy. all of their hard work, all the years, the blood, sweat, tears, and one horrible, gut wrenching finale - they deserve this.
