Tonight is my first night in my new apartment and my neighbors are having a party and being super loud. I wanted to go to bed at 11, but they are so loud. So I did the universal be quiet symbol and banged on the wall. They didn't quiet down. So I did it again, and again until finally instead of turning the volume down, they come and ring my doorbell. I am a young girl living alone, and I hear predominantly male voices. Obviously I can't answer the door because it puts me in an extremely unsafe position. So there I am, completely powerless to male intimidation. Honestly I should call the cops on them, but I am too afraid of the retaliation. I share a fire escape with that room and I am terrified that they will show up at my window. What the hell.
