although it’s quite evident that the girl is distracted by her phone, he continues to talk. he was mostly just rambling anyways. “huh--?” he asks, getting caught off guard by her question, but he nods. he doesn’t mind moving onto a new topic. “yes, i have.” it’s a really good song. it might not be so popular in korea, but taehyung enjoyed searching for songs all over the internet. it was one of his favorite hobbies. “it’s a really good song.” he smiles softly, “actually i--” he stopped mid-sentence. truthfully, he has seen the video before, but the young girl seemed quite excited to show it. “--i have never seen it, no.” he lied.

❝ I don’t know if I should be impressed or shocked when it gets to the ability of some fans and their detective skills. ❞ the girl’s voice is wavering, unsure what to think of the presented situation. Lowering the magazine she’s been so persistently hiding her face behind (the article was entertaining until she spotted some possibly dangerous rumours), she cautiously glances up at the older male. ❝ Did you see this? Someone started gossiping that some of your members are secretly going out on dates with Red Velvet. Whether it’s true or not, it would sure be nice if they didn’t dig so deep into our personal lives, don’t you think? ❞

« what? are you serious? » a small laugh escapes taehyung’s lips. he shakes his head out of disbelief. he slowly takes the magazine from the girl to examine it for himself. « how can any of this be true? » he laughs again -- he just can’t help it. with their busy schedules, there was barely any time for dating. « of course it would -- but this isn’t even digging! it’s just straight up lying. » he says as he points to the article. « i mean, look! all of these photos are clearly photo-shopped. last time i remember, red velvet wasn’t even around any of us during this time. »

it feels so good to be kind. it’s the warm feeling you get when you tell someone that they look nice today, or that they did a good job, or that their voice sounds lovely, or that the cookies they baked were delicious, or how you always laugh at their jokes. it’s the warm feeling you get when they respond bashfully, or surprised, with that small smile and a thankfulness that shines in their eyes. it feels so good when someone is kind to you. when it feels like the effort you put into yourself is seen and acknowledged and appreciated. it feels so good when you’re able to make someone feel that wonderful. we should always try and encourage each other.
