Here's some questions for shinichi after thinking for a while on what to ask! I hope these are interesting enough! (I hope these aren't questions u have been asked before )
1. Is it stressful or overwhelming to find a balance Between being a student and being a detective? Has being a detective ever gotten in the way of your school work/responsibilities?
2. How do you feel about heiji hattori? Do u like working with him?
3. What is something that keeps u going? Something that motivates u to go on despite any hardships u face?
4. What is your biggest hope or wish for the future?
((You're more than fine! These are questions we've never answered before on here! Thank you-!!))
Jimmy's eyes focus on the person asking him these questions, a distinct focus evident in those eyes that is usually reserved for searching for clues when making deductions during a murder investiation. He's still in the body of a child, most of the time, but for the rare occasion - like today - that he has been granted a temporary freedom to become himself again. After listening to each of these questions, the young detective brings a hand up and cups his chin somewhat between forefinger and thumb, closing his eyes as he thinks a little bit to himself before answering.
"Well... no. I don't find it stressful, per se, to find a balance between being a student and being a detective. Overwhelming? Maybe sometimes, but I think that's more attributed to stimulation than to stress. Has it ever gotten in the way of school work or responsibilities? No, that one would also be a negative. I usually pretty much finish my homework during school, especially while being stuck as Conan since all of that particular schoolwork is way to easy for me." There is a slight twitch of the eye as he mentions Conan's schoolwork.
"Either way, that and my responsibilities are usually not something I find hard to take care of, especially since most of my responsibilities revolve around my detective work, anyways. As for your question about HarleyHeiji, I like working with the guy. He matches my vibes and my brainwaves, usually enough, and we're almost always on the same page. If we're in the middle of a murder investigation, I can usually count on him to help me get things done. I pretty well like him as a friend, though sometimes he can get on my nerves, but I'm sure he'd say pretty much the same thing about me... So I guess we're even on that particular subject matter of each other." There's a wry chuckle from Jimmy's lips before he closes his eyes and shakes his head softly.
"Still, you know what? I don't think I'd like to count on many other people when it really comes down to the wire."
At the next question, Jimmy's face morphs into a slightly bewildered look, endearing in the apparent confusion that is evident in his expression.
"Huh? Uh... motiva...tion?" He blinks a few times, looking almost... younger... for a moment.
"I guess I've never really thought about it before. Well, not when I'm not six feet deep in trouble, anyways. But, I mean... when I really need to remind myself why I keep going, I remember my friends. The people I really care about. That's come to include a lot of people lately, like Harley. And Mitch, Amy, George... Anita. Richard, Takagi, Inspector Meguire. Doctor Agasa. I care about all of them. But before... before all of this stuff with the Black Syndicate and being Conan... mostly it was Rachel that kept me going." And there it is, an admission that few ears have heard from his lips, and a soft blush on Jimmy's cheeks declaring something that he would prefer be kept a little more private.
"Look, I don't talk about this stuff a lot, so it doesn't go anywhere but between us... but Rachel's been my friend for years. And... well... she's been a lot of what I rely on to keep me going. A lot of it." Jimmy took a deep breath and sighed it out just as deeply, closing his eyes and tilting his head aside more, looking just the tiniest bit aggravated by his own admission.
"Just don't you go blabbing any of this to Rachel! I want to be able to tell her on my own... once I'm finally back to normal. Completely back to normal. Anyways, as for your final question... well. I should think that it's pretty obvious one of my biggest hopes for the future is to finally be rid of this curse from Melkior and Kaspar that turned me into a little kid. I still don't know how long that's going to take... finding a cure for the poison Anita made, since we have to get our hands on her research notes and the recipe for APTX-4869. And, I mean... well, that goal bleeds into my other hope for the future. To finally be able to tell Rachel the whole truth... to help her understand why I had to lie to her for so long and apologize for lying to her. I mean, I didn't have much choice in the matter, that much is true, because I just want to keep Rachel and everyone else safe. But I still want to apologize, because I never wanted to lie to her in the first place. I've wanted to tell her so many times... it's almost criminal how much it hurts to see her... to see her wondering where I really am... to have to lie to her knowing that I'm right next to her and never being able to tell her that I'm still there for her..."
"I never thought a lie could hurt this much..."
