Around the world we go

This blog is for those of you that type with rough, calloused fingertips while sipping coffee from a mug that rests on one of your countless issues of Rock&Ice. It is for those of you that wake up at 7 am on Saturday mornings and eat a bowl of cereal while watching the weekend whipper before sleepily dragging yourself to your car with a pack full of gear to spend the day conquering some beautiful rock. We all know how addictive it is to put on that harness, squeeze into those shoes, and delicately work our way up. In 2013, Aaron and I plan to do just that in as many locations across the globe as our bank accounts will allow. And we would really love to hear from you. We need as much trip beta as your strong, thick fingers can deliver, and in return, we will share just as much of our own. Thank you kindly, Aaron and Jess

climbing around the world turned out to be a much less daunting task than we expected.  latest adventure was in hampi, the place that is “without exaggeration, the most extensive bouldering area in the world” according to the Hampi Climbing Guidebook (I can see how one might question the source, but I dare you to disagree)

However, not one to give up, François recently teamed up with the two-time world climbing champion Liv Sansov, the French military high mountain team member Marion Poitevin and, another climber, Fabien Dugit, to accomplish one of her dreams: to climb El Cap. Enduring three days and four nights on the wall, François cranked over 4,000 pull-ups to summit El Capitan."
