As a creature with a growing conscience she still had no qualms about taking things that weren’t hers to take or not paying for someone’s services. She supposes she could always get a job, but she doubts anyone would require her area of expertise and pay her for it. So she continues to use her currently limited power to get things; food mostly when she didn’t wish to hunt herself. And this city was filled to the brim with interesting delicacies, strawberry cream filled crepes were todays choice. Not exactly the ideal decision for such cool weather, but it hardly bothered her. And it seemed she wasn’t the only one to not mind as she notes a young girl at the stall, looking as if she wanted to buy something but hesitated. She’s looking in her purse, most likely she didn’t have the funds to buy anything. Normally the aged vixen wouldn’t care, she only saw it fit to look out for herself but deep within lay a softness for children; especially those that were hungry. Taking one look at the confection in her hands, she sighs heavily whilst she approaches the girl.
“Here,” she states a little flatly, extending her hand to offer one half of the large crepe she had taken. “Your face saddens me, children shouldn’t go hungry” she says as an explanation, unaware that some might find it strange to take food from a stranger, especially one that looked like she did. “Go on eat up,” she urges in a tone much softer than her usual one.
@ambivxlence
“You’ve been staring at yourself in that mirror for an hour,” curiosity finally gets the better of her and she has to ask, popping up behind the young girl as she stands in front of a full length mirror. She’s been in this shop for a while now, and this girl has been going back and forth with different dresses and never seemed satisfied with any of them. While she was an aged creature and had adapted to human ways, sometimes they still baffled her with the things they did. “Those dresses were exquisite yet you have discarded them all,” she continues as she inches a little closer as if doing so would reveal the answer to her. “A pretty thing like you...surely you don’t think they didn’t suit you?” She asks, clearly intrigued and making no effort to mask her evident compliment.
The Archetype Quiz.
RESULTS: The Doppelgänger. TRAITS: Manipulative, self deprecating, intelligent, knowledgable, ambiguous & caring.
The doppelgänger is most commonly used to symbolise the divide between two egos, or the grey line between good and bad. Doppelgängers are extremely intelligent, and are able to manipulate a persons thoughts and feelings for their own benefit. While they are seen as a darker character, they are closer to being morally ambiguous, if not, someone who has been forced into a position they never agreed upon. Doppelgängers wish they could do better, and often find themselves regretting not doing something. While they are capable of manipulating others, they are vulnerable, making themselves susceptible to being manipulated as well. Although many of their traits are negative, they crave attention, validation, and wish they could be a better version of themselves. If you can get under their hard exterior, you'll find a true friend, and a loyalist.

and here junko thought that everyone here was some goody two-shoes that was just being perky - and goddamn annoying - just for the sake of spiting the people who brought them all here. no, that was just foolish of her to think on limited info - usually, she was much more thorough before making decisions like that. oh well, she supposed; it was better to embrace the despair of being wrong than it was to be right.
a scoff leaves her lips, and a hand flips some stray hairs back into place; like hell junko would call the cops on anybody, especially for something like this. still, this gave her an idea; maybe not a good one, but it was fun to be spontaneous once in a while. besides, nobody was going to get hurt from this one… probably. this time, at least.
◤ mmm… i dunno… i might consider it if you don’t mind sharing some of that. you know what they say about girls and chocolate, right? ◢
they didn’t really say anything, but hey. if junko could score some free food out of the deal, she didn’t care if everyone started to parrot her words.
She wasn’t really one for sharing, especially not food; she was rather selfish in that sense. Whilst the young woman speaks she idly opens one of the boxes and throws a piece of chocolate into her mouth, teeth made for crunching bones make quick work of it.
“I wouldn’t know,” she responds; licking her lips free of the melted confection. “I’m not a girl after all,” nor a woman but a thing that lingered in limbo, betwixt beast and human; not one or the other. Following with a shrug of her shoulders she throws one of the boxes towards her new acquaintance. “I’m not one for sharing either but if it keeps pesky do-gooders off my back then I can spare a few,” even if she’d denied her offer she could avoid detection easily enough. Simply put, presently she was feeling a little lazy and didn’t want to have to deal with someone chasing her half the night.
ooc; New year, new theme and icons :3c and a new rp ad as I’m unsure who’s still active from my old one. So like for a starter, capping at 3 for now~

As a carnivorous creature there wasn’t much she wouldn’t eat, to survive as she did she couldn’t afford to be picky after all. Yet she’s also curious and wished to try new things, dine on exquisite culinary delights and hunt new prey. So this blue thing has managed to catch her attention, was it edible? The colour blue was so unnatural and it makes her think perhaps it was toxic, but sometimes she was far too inquisitive for her own good. Lurking behind a bush she eyes the hedgehog like being, considering if she should try and kill it or not; yet she knows beasts in the wild didn’t normally wear shoes. “You,” peeking up from behind the shrubbery, demanding an audience with a stern tone.
“You are a beast no? Certainly not human,” she continues whilst stepping out from her hiding place. She hadn’t decided whether she’d eat him yet or not, but for now she wanted some questions answered. “So why do you wear shoes? Surely you have no real need for them,” even the she-fox in her partially human form didn’t always wear them, so it puzzled her why this hedgehog creature chose to adorn human accessories when he wasn’t even close to being human at all.
@gyarudan
She prefers the term loaning rather than stealing, although she had no intention of returning anything she took. She does have some code that she lives by but generally if she wanted something she’d take it, and most of the time that alluded to food or clothes. This time it was the large selection of chocolates in a shop window, the place was closed but not to this cunning vixen. To the naked eye one couldn’t figure out how she managed to get in and out without breaking anything or raising any alarms, a trade secret she’d keep to herself but upon her exiting the building with boxes of candy she hasn’t managed to elude everyone’s gaze. Stood there is a young girl, she was likely just passing by and just so happened to witness a crime, but Ahri isn’t concerned.
“Looks like I’ve been caught,” she says casually “you’re not going to turn me in are you?” She asks out of mere curiosity as she’s fully capable of escaping and simply vanishing as if she’d never been here to begin with.
@bymyfingers
She’d always been somewhat of a vagabond, moving from place to place with no real home; she supposes all of Ionia was her abode in a way. She’d kept such habits even here, not always choosing to stay in the apartment she’d been oh so graciously gifted and simply slept wherever was convenient. Last night happened to be a park bench, and with nine warm tails she’d been able to make even that comfortable.
As dawn broke she extends her limbs to stretch, allowing a loud yawn to escape her lips. However she is not only greeted by the crisp morning air but the face of someone she actually recognised, and he was far too close for comfort. “Oh,” she says groggily whilst her brain registers that she knew this person, edging away a little so there was ample space between them. “Good morning, how long has it been? Several months?” She continues as if such a large amount of time hadn’t passed and she’d only just seen him yesterday. “Time certainly does fly by doesn’t it,” and a lot could have occurred so she ponders on the possibilities; eyeing him carefully to see if there were any notable changes.

A chuckle was all that was earned from his persona when she confessed and fessed up to being rather fond of penguins, silently he made certain to take note of that for later use of it later — assuming a use for it was found anyway. “Many are,” was all he set to comment upon regarding the penguins. No denying that they were quite the adorable animals. Silent attempts made to grow accustomed to the actuality of caring for another, but no longer puzzled by it for he was extremely aware that he did towards her. “Titanic huh?” He stood with the film of her choice in hand and chuckled. “A closet sap aren’t you?” A harmless tease as he oh so continued to speak. “Please,” amusement laced in his tone, “the boobs in this movie were just a big deal cause in its time pg-13 movies limited themselves with vague censorship,” he offered her a petty history lesson revolving this movie and its culture per say, whilst he prepped the DVD for its usage. “Yours are better anyway.” Expressed in nonchalance, even if they were not entirely revealed it was no whole science or a tax to conclude that they would be deemed as quite the blessings to a set of eyes, lust filled or not. “It’s based on a true story, given to the audience through a fake take though.”
Anger and rage felt prior no longer sipping through his skin, though stayed intact within him, but fortunately within his conscious control unlike before where he simply allowed himself to blow off the steam rather than keeping it in. When the film was set to commence upon a mere click away, he paced back towards the couch and with his hands he motioned them to a direction, indicating her to make some space for him. “Make way.” Not expressed as an order, but expressed none the less. Placement found by her side as he once again got comfortable, feeling himself grow at ease and relaxing as the movie played its role and began its course.
“You’ll probably enjoy it.” A semi-joke, however could be proven wrong. She did happen to enjoy the first film they watched together after all.
“Perhaps,” she replies with a somewhat impish smile. She couldn’t deny liking romances, even if many were cringe worthy, it’s one of the things she liked about humans. How they forged so many different types of relationships, things she wanted for herself. She watches him as he sets up the movie and listens to his little history lesson, fascinating stuff really. “I often forget humans can only handle so much at particular ages,” some things weren’t appropriate, it was a strange concept to her at first. As a kit she’d been exposed to everything she needed to know to survive on her own, how to kill, what parts were the best to eat, how to shelter herself and that she only needed a mate to procreate and nothing more. Now things were much more complicated. A brow raises when he compliments her nonchalantly, “of course they are” she agrees with a light smirk. She took pride in her appearance even as a fox she always made sure her fur was clean, and now with her partial human form it was no different. Shifting her position to allow him to sit next to her, whilst the film loads up she merely sits and looks at him for a moment, as if she was contemplating something. After a long pause she makes the decision to shuffle closer to him, wishing for that warm contact again. She didn’t have issues with personal space when it was her choice to move, and since he seemed to not mind invading hers every so often; kissing her cheek and picking her up, she believes this was perfectly fine.
Resting her chin on his shoulder she doesn’t speak, only looks at him with a feigned innocent expression. Wrapping her tails around her to partially rest them on his lap before leaning into his shoulder more comfortably to see the screen. “This is fine isn’t it?” She asks any way, despite having already made herself cosy and didn’t plan on moving unless he shoved her off. Instantly she relaxes as the warmth he radiated melted that wall she kept up that had her be alert at all times. It made her feel at ease, it was rare she would feel such comfort let alone in the presence of a human.

“Hmph!” Truly all the man in rage chose to spare since right now all he was seeing was red, breathing red, if he could he’d be breathing out fire to tag along with this rage of his. He could even feel the temperature of his body rising in this rage induced state he was currently having to experience. Most of this anger was all seeded from these ungrateful hypocrites more than her, though expressed that some of it was from her as well since he did insist that they did not meddle with what was none of their business earlier a tad bit. “People are stupid that’s the fucking issue.” He cursed and every so often threw out a fuck off at the sight of some who chose to closely hound them. Oh how he wanted to burn people this fine night. Steps halt and merely ceased when she continued to speak about the chance she refused to take earlier. “You talk as if you owe somebody something,” extremely aware that it were not the case but she spoke of it as so. “It isn’t you damn it,” at last he released his hold on her grip though was stern and firm in his tone when he spoke to her, “the world just thinks telling someone that they did something wrong or locking them away will solve everything, they’re the idiots who don’t want to grow outta that stupid mentality. There’s never anything wrong with you.” Not spoken in means to comfort her but truly in the way that it was. People were not ready to suffer the consequences for their actions in their absolute. “So quit your damn pity party.” Clearly still ticked though not as bad as earlier.
He allowed a few minutes to pass by to allow himself to relax and become level headed once more before he took the decision of picking her up, arms securely wrapped around her, carrying her as if she were some child in need of care and protection. After what happened not at all surprised if it were the case even if she refused or desired not to confess that to be so or the case itself. Arms were warm whilst he held her against him, paces firm in means of taking her back home to which the distance to there was not at all too long. Arriving at last in her apartment to then place her down on the couch, however done with hesitance since he grew fond of how she felt against him for the slightest bits of seconds. “You stay here, I’m gonna bring us more films to watch okay?” And with that he departed to the same place he went last time to only return a few minutes afterwards with about ten different movies for them to indulge in, door closed behind him — deciding that he would not be leaving her alone any time soon. Said cases placed to rest upon the small table that stood between the television and the couch.
“Let’s see here, we got Titanic, cheesy as all bloody hell, has boobs in it, meant to be sappy for the lonely ones,” and oh so he began his fine critic explanation, “we got Twilight, shitty vampire romance movie thing, Happy Feet, it’s got penguins in it that sing and dance, Drag me to Hell, meant to be scary but honestly it’s horrible and ridiculous, R.I.P.D… eh not too bad.” He continued. “I’ll let you pick though, which one do you want us to watch?” Surely did not go through all ten films but he would allow her to choose and allow her to be curious if so.
Perhaps it seemed that way, that she was doing it because she felt like she owed someone. And in a way she was, she felt like she owed it to herself, to make up for her past and to be someone other than a malevolent creature that people feared. Her arm falls to her side when he finally releases it, but she keeps her eyes on him. A sigh expels, she was hardly asking for a pity party, she hated being pitied and pitying others she was merely stating how things were. She agreed however, that time away didn’t always change people, they’d come right out and continue what they started. Regardless, people would remain by their values just as she would stay by hers, and perhaps they’d never see eye to eye. Again she sighs when silence encompasses them and he seems to calm down, what a mess, they should have just stayed in. Still, he continues to surprise her and is quite startled when he approaches her and picks her up. “What are you...” her voice fading a little when she notices how warm he was, then wondered why he was doing it. For now she keeps quiet, keeping her questions to herself until he’d calmed down fully, besides not like she minded being carried around.
Once back at her apartment she comfortably positions herself when he finally releases her, kicking off her shoes in the process and flopping across the cushions. A brow quirks when he makes the offer to get more films, not waiting for her to say otherwise before leaving. A smile appears in the corners of her mouth, she can only conclude he was trying to make her feel better again.
She doesn’t really know how to respond to the kind gesture so she simply gives him a soft look before he departs, and she wouldn’t say no to more films. While he’s gone she merely stays where she is, only moving to take hold of one of the pillows. It was a strange feeling, even if he had become enraged at her choice to help others even when they perhaps didn’t deserve it in the end, he still seemed to care. And that alone made her quite happy. She could easily curl up and sleep after the days events, but she doesn’t allow her eyes to close just yet, quite curious to see what he came back with. When he does she finds her smile widening at his brief synopses, a light chuckle to pass her lips. “I am somewhat fond of penguins,” she admits whilst looking looking over the covers, “but terrible romances are humorous...this Titanic seems fitting for such ridicule.” Picking up the case and handing it to him, “and I’m sure you’ll appreciate the breasts that are apparently in it,” since he did bring up that small detail, her smile turning a little sly as she clearly jests...for the most part.
The walk there lacked little to no contribution from his part. Simple small talk abouts when the silence was unbearable for him. His worry in regards to the crowd being too much for him subsided and ceased when the point was brought up that this place was still in a rather horrid state thus meaning that everything was limited, including the people much to his good fortune. The atmosphere was rather tense upon their arrival, thus the frown that adorned his face this very instant. He was not liking it one bit. “Followed?” He question in slight disbelief. “It’s obvious enough.” He said in clear and obvious distaste and only halted when he spotted the little runt he was still pending on killing and the ridiculous words that were said afterwards. “Great,” attention, just great. He should have simply got rid of the young one earlier when the chance was there.
He watched in clear annoyance and anger that simply seemed to increase the more the scene progressed. Why anybody bothered to play the hero for useless weak wastes of space is beyond him. “Shut up.” He warned once. The kid was there when he made quick work of the men as well, why was she the only one singled out on this? “I said shut up!” He continued to insist, all of this was dawning in a headache that could have been avoided if she had just allowed the kid to get a dose of his own deserved medicine. “I told you it was a waste of time!” Rather enraged by the whole scenario, releasing some of it on her prior idiocy before he paced forward to the kid who realized he was in danger and attempted to part, but that was the last thing he was going to allow him to do. Swift to yank him by his arm and twisting it in a rather stomach ill’d manner, the scream of pain by the young one within the masses enough to finally gift the crimson haired man with the silence he oh so desired.
Simply standing in place and admiring his fine work, child on his knees and weeping for the life of him. “You’re not dead yet.” Foul man reminded him, his merciless words only making the kid cry louder. Though his attention and vindictive gaze glared into the crowd who only stared back at him in horror. “Who’s next? Just open your mouth and I’ll snap your neck.” He threatened, to merely be given nothing in return. His glare now on her and before he paced in her direction he made sure to kick the broken boy to the ground. If only he had his abilities… everybody would be burning at this very moment. Rather roughly, he took her wrist within his hold. “Move!” He roared at some who stood in the way he desired to take, in fear of course they made way. Intentions on leading her back to her home, unharmed preferably. Silent through most of the way until at last he spoke after some anger subsided. “I hope this teaches you a lesson,” he preached, “mind your own business next time.” Many were not worth the sweat. Clearly, people in this shattered city were certainly not worth the sweat. Just because someone had tails and ears, this city was ridiculous.
Part of her wanted to stop him, whatever the child’s reason was for outing her, fear, pressure; she didn’t think he deserved a beating. Her old self would have disagreed, would have done the deed herself but she didn’t want to be that person anymore. Unless someone threatened her life or someone else’s then she wouldn’t take their life. However, bruised he may be but he was alive at least and right now the one in imminent danger was herself. She could see it in their eyes, not only fear but in some; anger, the desire to do harm in revenge. Regardless of what they wanted to do, Kal’s violent actions causes them to reconsider...for now. The scene seems to pass her by rather quickly and before she knows it he’s grabbing her wrist harshly and tugging her away from the masses, reprimanding her for her act of kindness even if her manner in going about it hadn’t been so kind. But she truly believed that simply leaving those thugs to their own devices they’d only do further harm, and would perhaps end up taking someone else’s life.
“How can I take that chance?” Not everyone she had helped acted that way, mostly because she did her helpful deeds unseen. “I am no hero, I never claim to be,” nor would she ever be; she could never take that path. “But I want to help...in my own way, preferably away from the crowds,” and that was why she’d acted so off earlier when she’d been forced to confront the one she’d helped. “People will never accept my methods,” she clarifies although she thinks it was pretty obvious by now. Even something like this wasn’t wholly new to her, people either worshipped her for her looks or hated her, there was never a middle ground or those who genuinely liked who she was. While they walked she notes that a few had slowly followed them, cautiously as if to make sure they were leaving. “And I will never be accepted as I am,” so she chose to change and hopefully, one day, attain the humanity she desired. A heavy sigh expels as they continued to walk, guessing a night out was out of the question for now. “Perhaps an evening in with more terrible movies wouldn’t be so bad,” she eventually suggests after a few minutes of silence, although he was clearly angry at not only them but her too, so she is unsure if he still wanted to remain in her presence.
He laughed at the response he earned in regards to him claiming he would come to take a few things and merely nodded. Understandable that things were rather limited at the moment all in thanks to the current state of being of this broken city, so he had no protest in indulging in a few programs with her. For a few given minutes it seemed he could handle rather well but that was until his eyes began to feel heavy, threatening to seal and to allow him to fall into a pleasant and light slumber but that was until he felt her knocking his legs, to which suddenly he found himself wide awake. “What?” In means of registering what the case was. “You and I both,” he yawned and stretched his arms out to relax and cease any given tension to them.
“Go out where?” He inquired, though question was quick to be responded to. The thought of the crowds within her suggestion gave him an unpleasant feeling. Not one to fancy the crowds very much and probably would never find his comfort in them perhaps — it beat sitting around doing absolutely nothing however. “Alright.” He agreed and stood up to stretch once more. “Let’s go.” Not one to fancy himself up for the sake of another place and its standards, however instead of simply leaving he stood by the door and crossed his arms, looking at her and waiting.
“Gonna go like that or what?” Hoping for the first option, since she killed whatever she wore, in terms of killing being used in a good sense, though refused to share that out loud with her.
She quirks a brow when he asks if she was going to go as she was since she had changed into more casual attire once she had returned. She was certainly one for dressing up, but she also liked being comfortable, skilled enough to be able to combine the two but presently she would make do with what she had on. “This will do,” she confirms whilst putting on some shoes, finding it unlikely that they’ll even find anywhere that would be open or not in shambles so she need not make such an effort clothing wise. Walking past him she exits the apartment with him in tow, a slight bounce to her step while making their way outside and towards the train station. “I’m aware you are not fond of crowds,” speaking up about it, yet still he had agreed to come with her probably because it would be slightly more entertaining than sitting about. “However I doubt many will be out considering the state of the place,” she adds as if she were trying to assure him it wouldn’t be so bad.
The walk to the station and subsequent train ride was accompanied by simple talk, and as she predicted not too many were out. Upon arriving in sector three, she sighs lightly. She spent quite a bit of time here, not because she liked the place as overall it was rather horrible, but a lot of her activity required her to be present. It wasn’t a duty someone else placed upon her, but one she had chosen to take, one she had before she even came here. “The place I spoke of is not too far from here,” she reassures with a smile, keen to simply grab a drink and perhaps have a little fun. However, it seemed such simple wishes weren’t meant to be as while they walked she began to notice eyes peering at her. Used to such things as she hardly fell into the normal category appearance wise, but the looks in their eyes was something other than bewilderment at her nine tails and two fox like ears atop her head.
“Does it seem like we’re being followed to you?” She eventually asks, noticing those eyes continued to watch her back, low whispers accompanying them that even her keen ears couldn’t quite hear. It was then that a voice echoed out, accusingly. “There she is! I saw her with my own eyes, she killed those men!” Quick to spot who the voice belonged to, surprised to see it was the boy from earlier that she’d wanted to help. With his voice raised it seemed to give the others confidence to speak and others began to speak up. “She must be the one who took out that gang,” another said and a few seemed to cower, as if she may strike them next. Insults began to follow ‘monster! Murderer! Harpy!’ Were among them, and while she’d become used to such things, to have it all together in one place made her speechless for once. She had done what she had to protect others, and again she is reminded why she stays out of the spotlight.
“Always had a fondness for you, I did.”
Sweeney Todd sentence starters.
“Always is pushing it is it not?” As they hadn’t got off to the best start. “In concerns to my personality that is,” as he had no qualms about expressing his appreciativeness of her physique. However, though she jests and whether he was being sincere or not, he would not know how his words made her feel. She was not the easiest individual to get along with, often at odds with most for one reason or another. Yet despite their rocky start, he’d made the decision to stick around her because she’d made the choice to stay around him, in spite of his equally difficult personality. Perhaps that was why it seemed to work, regardless of their troubled ways of thinking and doing things, they found something within the other; companionship after a lifetime of loneliness. “Perhaps it is good then that I am fond of you also,” she eventually says in a more sincere tone and with a softened expression.
“For a moment there I thought you lost your marbles.”
Sweeney Todd sentence starters.
“You’ll have to excuse the mess,” fights with someone like her often got a little out of hand. “Things like this tend to turn into a frenzy and instinct merely takes over,” but of course not so much that she would lose control of herself and her actions. Each move, each strike was made with precision and purpose. “But nothing more than that, my marbles are quite intact,” she insists whilst she cleans up the remains of some soul who crossed her path and thought it would be an excellent idea to engage her in such a manner, rubbing her cheek clean.
