i miss when people still insisted upon being kind to the world in a genuine fashion, with sights aimed at bettering the world rather than buying stupid plastic garbage and bullshit. i miss when we stopped using wish and shein garbage out of protest rather than mass importing temu trash like it was our god given right to destroy the livelihoods of children in the third world

living in a family which is given so much in comparison to so many others but still manages to self destruct around you with petty arguments often makes you feel less strange yourself, and rather that you are the positive product of this strange chemical reaction you call your family

i spent most of my time today pretending to be a functional human. i walked around and spoke as though i have a nest egg tucked away for future investments. i interacted with others at stores and food courts like a normal person, and when i returned to my den of sorrow i collapsed, more miserable than i have been in a little while

tiny rooms and tiny beds, tiny clothes and tiny shoes. when we all perish, the most precious remnants of our existence will be the things we used to give to our children

i lie in bed, the bitter cold biting my toes as autumn nears its peak. as i shiver under my polyester blanket, i remember how strange it is to exist in this world, and that despite all its misery, life is terribly precious.
