actually watched doukyuusei recently, after seeing an adorable gifset on tumblr. And I just wanted to ask, if there is any yaoi, ANY, with either a similar art style or plot or just something that really stands out in the same way doukyuusei does????

I guess everyone knows the character from the yaoi Manga “yarichin bitch club” or at least saw some pics of him or cosplays. However people who read this Manga must notice that he is a big pervert. Even more perverted than his best friend Tamura. But even since middle school age what is a bit strange if you ask me? When I tried to learn more about rape and especially child rape I found out that there are symptoms and mentally illnesses that kids who got raped get. Such as depression, exhibitionism and more. One of them was even “strong sexualized character” and an other to be perverted in a young age, like really perverted and not even normal for you age,? In the extra doujinshi by Tanaka Sensei about the childhood of Tamura and Yuri you see that Yuri had a strange and sexual personality even back then. And when they shown the part when they both meet each other in high school he became.. a true pervert. I’m 80% sure that he got raped as a child. The over sexual character he became can’t happened from nothing. Sure, there are perverted people who aren’t csa survivor but in a still distanced way. One syntom was not to know distance of such things. Did you ever see Yuri behave himself of sexual stuff to strangers? Right, he don’t care. And you know why? Because he don’t know when to stop.

Doukyuusei

Watching this shounen ai movie reminds me that there is good yaoi out there. Ones that don’t depict that having a forceful relationship is good, one don’t doesn’t involve rape, ones that don’t stereotype the gay community and make it all sexual. Ones that have a top and a bottom which isn’t really realistic. Also depicting what a uke or seme should look like.

This movie was different, it showed them having normal lives and doing normal things, in a sweet and beautiful way.

I absolutely adore this movie which I just watched today, its realistic showing the hardships of a relationship no matter the sexuality. Most yaoi makes it seem as the they don’t go through the same thing.

I hardly watch and read yaoi anymore because its so rare to find a yaoi like this movie…. Its the same reason I don’t like junjou anymore because its so forceful and yea I know their feelings are mutual soon after but still.

I recommend this movie, its so beautiful and well presented.
