Coffee is often referred to as fuel, so why shouldn’t there be an espresso machine made from an old race car engine? Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

i love S13s a little too much <3
I’m trying to raise money to start my own in home bakery business named “Hashibami Pan-ya" which means “Hazel bakery" in japanese, (which is named after my grandmother, Alberta Hazel Talley.)
I started baking because of my Nana, Alberta. She would always do all the cooking and bake home made cakes and pies for the church gatherings and for our birthdays. I remember long ago, around Christmas in ‘97, she had made three pies: Cherry, blueberry and home made sweet potato. I was only four so I didn’t know why she made them, but someone at our church had gotten ill so the pies were like a “merry Christmas, get well soon" gift. As a curious little four year old I tried takes bits of crust from the pie and she smacked my hand and said, “don’t you touch those pies, girl! They’re not for you, greedy!" So, I told her, “well, when I get older I’m gonna bake pies and you can’t have any!" She laughed at me and told me to go ahead, that she didn’t want any of my pies and I said, “GOOD! All for me!" After that she didn’t bake much anymore, we didn’t know it but she had Cancer and it wasn’t her first time fighting it. She was in remission a few years before I was born or so and it came back in the form of Colon Cancer. She passed April 6th, 2000 and my life changed a lot for me, it was hard seeing her full of life to limited mobility, then to basically become a vegetable.
Without knowing it I started to work through it and by the time I was in middle school I could finally use the oven by my self. Through trial and error I was getting better little by little until I finally made my first batch of chocolate chip cookies without them being cake-like, dry or rock hard. By my junior year of high school i went to vocational and studied culinary arts for two years and graduated with a seal on my diploma and a medal for academic excellence in vocational studies. I wanted to jump right into college and go to Johnson and Wales university, but they told me i would need to re-take classes i already took in high school at a community college and then try to transfer down to the Charlotte campus after a year or two. I wasn’t trying to do that, so I applied for JSRCC in Richmond.
I was all set to go except my financial aid didn’t come through and I didn’t have the money to pay for the tuition of my classes for that semester, so again college was on hold. Instead I worked a year in the kitchen of a nearby country club learning and testing my skills everyday, i wasn’t planning on being there forever, but just long enough to save for Spring classes. I ended up getting laid off in November a week before thanksgiving and couldn’t find a job for months. I was re-hired in February under new management. It wasn’t very organize and there was a lot of chaos in the kitchen and so I lost my job a second time after nearly a year of my hard work put in. I was once again out of work for months, I could only find teenaged summery part-time jobs, no one would hire me full-time. It’s been a year and I still can’t find a full-time job to help support this bakery on my own. My car keeps breaking down every few months, this is my third fuel injector I’ve had to replace in the nearly two years I’ve owned the car and it hasn’t even been on the road a full year. I’ve put more into my car than what I paid and it’s my only way around. I work part-time at a bowling alley doing birthday parties for kids. I try to do the best I can so I can make enough tips to at least get a tank of gas for half for a part I need, but now I barely work there. I apply for other jobs full-time and no one will hire me. I’m nearly 20 years old and I have no money, no stability and I’m about to lose my license. My back’s against the wall and this bakery is something to help me get out of my debt, pursue my passion and make a name for myself. I’m not asking for too much, just enough to get me started so I can create a better life for myself. All I DO ask is that you share this cause just so others know my story.
Just need $100 then I can get on main search list for other people to see my fund. Learn more by clicking the link, every view helps. PLEASE SHARE.

whoa can we just talk about this game
I played it for like 5 hours last night
it’s a flash platforming game with a philosophical dilemma at the end of each level, which is essentially the coolest thing ever
it keeps track of your answers and at the end plots you on a graph with a bunch of famous thinkers/historical figures (I ended up nearest amelia earhart, go figure I did like 15 book reports on her in elementary school) and lets you know what type of thinker you are
I also thought the avatar creator was pretty cool because it doesn’t explicitly force you to pick boy or girl
the controls are a little janky but overall I thought the level design was really nice and the last few levels manage to be both fun and challenging
good game. would recommend. you should be playing this
don’t play this game
you’ll end up sitting by your computer the entire day
seriously I’ve only had breakfast because I found this around lunchtime
send help
“Is there such a thing as fate?” isn’t a clear yes or no question. I mean there is divinely mandated fate and mindless causality-based fate and many others, does this game sorta accommodate for answers that have various meanings?
I just started playing this. Oh god, someone help me I was spposed to be sleeping and calling ryne
Thank you so much...
