We don't have to do it right away or even ever... but you're right, it'd be like a new chapter. We could even rent out our home in New York so it's always here to come back to if we wanted.
We'll see. We can never know what the future might bring for us from now on, right?
Well, I'm sure we could combine both of those things, and retire to a small towns in California - like California but countryside. Probably more accepting to families like ours anyway. And we'd be within a maximum of 12 hours drive or a short flight away from LA, if we were working on screen? I don't know if you recall, but I was in this mildly successful film called Wicked so I'm no stranger to film 😉
That sounds like a good plan to me! I have no idea what little film you're talking about there 😜 I like the idea of us considering all this, you know? A new chapter in our lives. Like I said, I love our life in NY, but who knows what tomorrow can bring, right?
Oh, that's a tough question... but it depends. On a temporary basis, London. I'd love to pick up a role on the West End for a few months, but I couldn't be away from you and the kids for that long and uprooting the family for a few months seems like a lot.
But sometimes, as much as I love big city life, I think about living in the countryside on a huge property with lots of space for the kids to run around, fresh air... but our jobs and our lives are here and probably don't have many opportunities in those places. Not to mention, small country towns have a reputation of not exactly being welcoming to families like ours.
Sorry - that got a bit deep. Have you ever thought about living somewhere else?
If you ever get to have that chance, and I know it will come one day, don't think we won't be happy to join you there, even for a short while. It would be the greatest family adventure ever. A farm house then? Is that more or less what you're referring to? I know our jobs are here, but we will retire one day, so what harm does to think about our choices?
Me? Maybe a house in California, in one of those pretty small towns, not L.A., obviously.
