i love your ss/hk fanart of hornet. how did you come up with the idea? or just concepts in general for all of your art?

thank you!! my loose process is gathering a few references → finding a music album to vibe with → making a rough sketch → refining line art → coloring.

for the patterns that can be seen in Hornet’s clothes, i use pattern brushes (or make them myself) to add a little variation. i tend to experiment when it comes to coloring and background composition. if i could, i would probably just make everything black and white, but i try to push myself and color everything.
