Just had a pregnancy scare few days ago but that's just me overthinking because of a week of delayed period, lol.

My little boy turned 9 months almost 2 weeks ago, and it's just recently, maybe when 2024 came, that I have adjusted to motherhood. Slowly, I have adapted to this life, and I don't wanna leave this yet because my 2nd half of 2023 was a roller coaster. I was thinking of the sleepless nights of the 1st 2 months of a newborn, and I'm not mentally, emotionally, and financially prepared for it. What if my little boy wants a karga and I can't because of my big tummy? Or he wants dede but I'm too busy feeding his sibling? Or the riot 2 under 2 will bring to the house 🤣? I wanted to give him my full attention and love until we're both ready. Hello, responsible parenting, charot.

Having a baby isn't that simple especially nowadays when we have increased perceived necessities in life. Well, more than money, which we all know is, let's be real, great factor in any relationship or dealings we have, the emotional and mental state should be given emphasis too. It takes a lot of your life, routine gets wiped out, changed priorities, etc. Of course the joy and love we experience in having a baby is immeasurable but it's draining too. There were times I felt alone, anxious, frustrated and tired during sentimental hours of the day even if I received help and support around me. Can't consider it PPD, but me being a diva hahaha.

Narealize ko, kahit saktuhan to medyo may dagdag ng konti, yung situation ngayon is better than before. Yun ang importante.

Ngayon, di nakakatakot magopen ng aircon. Syempre in moderation pa rin, pero kaya bayaran. Dati kasi pag sobrang di na talaga kaya sa hapon at usually summer nights lang. Ngayon, every night basta di maulan pwede magaircon. Dati, hirap bumili ng cereals kasi malaking bagay yung dagdag na 150+ sa grocery, pero ngayon, mahal pa rin naman pero kaya na bayaran. Dati, bihira makakain sa fastfood, pero ngayon pag nagcrave makakabili agad. Diba? Simple lang pero alam mo life is better now.

Nakakaexcite mamili ng gamit ni baby. Sobrang nagpipigil pa ko, plano ko mid-April pa ang earliest. Nakakalula yung binibili ng iba, grabe, talagang naghohoard sila wala pa si Baby. Pano kaya nila malalaman kung hiyang agad si baby sa mga products na binili nila like Tiny buds, Cetaphil, Mustela etc.? Parang nakaka-insecure na nakakapressure tuloy ng konting-konti kasi, plano ko kay baby yung regular lang na nabibili sa groceries like Johnson’s, Lactacyd ganun. Saka gusto ko talaga pagisipan mabuti kung ano yung need ko bilhin kasi mahirap buhay, dapat masusulit ko yung mga items.

Niloloko na nga ako ni asawa, malapit na daw ako mag fulltime mom. Hahaha! Jusme, gusto ko naman kaso nagwoworry ako sa expenses. Kahit pa may business ako na hinahandle, sobrang sanay ako na hands-on ako don. Saka tumaas na rin expenses ng family namin dahil retired na si Tatay. Kargado na lahat sa family business lahat ng gastos. Pero, a huge part of me gustong mag-full time mom. Mabilis lang panahon, gusto ko ako mag-alaga kay baby at masaksihan yung milestones nya. Yung finances lang talaga ako nag-aalala kasi mukha akong pera hahaha! ‘Di talaga ako mapalagay pag walang pumapasok na income sakin.

So ayun nga. Naattract na ko magtingin ng dede bottles, stroller. crib, beddings saka newborn damit. Pati nga hospital bag at docs gusto ko na iprepare kasi lahat ng andon abot-kamay ko lang sa tindahan kaso masyado pa maaga, madali lang naman dumampot sa stocks ko. SIguro kaya kalmado ako sa stocks, kasi alam ko napakaccessible lahat ng essentials ni baby saken - vitamins, diaper, wipes, sabon, wilkins, alcohol. Crib lang talaga at damit ang gusto ko pagtuunan ng pansin!

Ano kaya maganda? Sulit ba pag crib? Bibili ba ako nung electric duyan? EH yung traditional knitted duyan kaya? Nakakalito

Noong bata ako binabasahan ako ni Tatay ng alamat, medyo may malay na ako non. Ngayon, excited na ko basahan din si baby ng baby books. Excited na ko turuan sya ng colors, numbers, Mama, Papa.

A quick recap ng 2022 ko?

Kinasal. Nagopen ng bagong branch. Nabuntis. Nagkamiscarriage. Nabuntis ulit.

17 weeks na ko ngayon. Hopefully and I believe ibibigay na ni Lord. Sobrang excited na ko mahawakan at mayakap si Baby. Bukas check-up ko. Makikita ko sya ulit na nagswiswimming sa loob ng puson ko hahaha. Alam ko malaking resposibilidad, hindi biro, pero yung nasa loob ko pa sya pero ramdam ko na yung sobrang pagmamahal ko para sa kanya. Yung kantang I knew I loved you before I met you, pang nanay yon! Hindi pang lovelife!

Yun lang naman ang dahilan bakit ako napa-post. Gusto ko lang iexpress in words yung nararamdam ko. Nanonood kasi ako ng maraming baby videos sa tiktok, puro ganun na yung binibigay ng algorithm.

Election day is coming and in my mind I'm contemplating if I have to voice out my candidate or not on socmed.

A certain group of supporters are very vocal and condescending. They're scary. As if they look down on you if you vote for the leading candidate. They question your intellect, judge you for your choices, even your morality. Napaka confrontational nila. I know other camps are like that too pero sila talaga yung tunay na diktador sa socmed.

I really have strong affinity towards Duterte, and I'm pretty satisifed with his government even if it wasn't perfect. If Leni didn't positioned herself as an opposition and worked well with Duterte, she may have a higher chance of getting my vote. Kaso she's a constant poster girl of the opposition. Though I appreciate and recognize her efforts in COVID response , charities, NGO partnerships and all, it's hard to forget everything that happened in the last 6 years. Their supporters, mainly Yellows hated Duterte's every move. Lahat mali. Lahat may issue. Numerous times the opposition tried to oust my president. They called us trolls, bayaran when we are true and diehard supporters like them. Nakakainis nung tinawag akong bobo, bayaran at troll. I'm sure a lot were hurt too. Can't they understand that we all want the best for our country? It just so happened our political beliefs are on the opposite pole. Hindi maka respect ng opinion? Kayo lang ang tama?

You know what? I'm voting for BBM for 3 reasons.

1. I think he's capable of making presindential level of decisions, when he discuss the issues during interviews, di ko alam kung nabobola lang ako, pero kahit nagbulakbol sya nung college at isa syang college dropout, na nagkaspecial diploma dahil anak ng presidente, he has substance.

2. He's tandeming with Sarah, daughter of Duterte. Even if Digong didn't endorse him, partnering with A Duterte is enough. Duterte has big influence on me, I respect and trust the man.

And most importantly, this is on a personal and emotional level, which sounds low but what ultimately drives me to vote for him kahit minsan napupusuan kong mag-Isko/Leodt/Nograles/Abellla:

3. A vote for BBM is a big FU to the toxic opposition and condescending supporters

I believe all the atrocities of Marcos regime, their ill-gotten wealth, the lavishness of their family, but when I think of it, they were kicked out of Malacañang but nothing has changed. Just a different set of people who wanted power was seated there. Did they made things to improve the lives of the people? Napagiwanan po tayo. Kung meron man, sorry di ko naramdaman.

A vote for BBM is giving him a chance to redeem his family's name. Willing ako sumugal sa pamilya ng magnanakaw, wag lang maluklok ang sinusuportahang kandidato ng mga nagmamarunong, mapangmata at nagmamalinis. I'm willing to set aside objectivity for revenge. Ganun kalala ang pag-ayaw ko sa inyo, pinklawans. Nakakainis kasi ugali nyo. Not all, bust most of you.

Yes, biased ako.

Political rants

They fight for freedom of speech yet they cancel you when you dont fit their narrative

Both judge each other because of political stance. I dont know why both can't see we all want the best for our country.

Now they're saying this is a morality issue. Good vs bad. Nakainis lang na umandar nanaman ang pagka self-righteous nila. Like they are the only one capable of thinking, caring. Generally, they look down on people from the other camp, and then they're surprised to be called elitists. So if I support Duterte , masama na ako? Who are you to judge me? We may have different values thus different political choices but that doesn't mean I'm evil. Nakakahurt ha.

If you cant stand the ramblings, cussing, late night press con, fine. Sorry, I look beyond that. Political will and sense of leadership weigh more to me than formality. Though I cannot deny latter is important too.

Nakakastress lang. Hindi naman tayo ganito noon.

Now I see people from other camp's willing to cut friendship because of political beliefs... They came from people I highly look up too. Which is disappointing because I thought they are the one who would be the first to respect others since they are all for freedom of expression.

I try to reevalute my political choices, giving chance to see their point, but I keep on choosing Duterte in the end. He's the most logical choice of my brain. Not a fan of all his policies and staff picks but the make a big deal out of it? Not me. Fanaticism? I'm not sure anymore. Previous admin really has a bad record in my book so my bias is against them.

I know I shouldn't concern myself too much but I love our country I cannot ignore the elections no matter how hard I try.

Without Sara on the race, nagiisip pa tuloy ako sino iboboto ko. Ping is out of the list, so as Manny. I am not against Isko but I believe he should have finished 3 terms of Manila mayorship before running as President. That leaves me BBM and Leni.

Ang hirap bes. I know my vote can change our future and I have to pick my bet carefully. I have serious issues with BBM and Leni kasi.

Malayo pa naman eleksyon, help me Lord para makadecide para sa ikabubuti ng bansa.

I'm having dry cough, medya medya lang. Nahawa ako ata sa kasama ko sa work. May panlasa naman ako at generally ok. May mga what if covid moments lang ako. Nakakapraning kasi.

Ok magaling na ko in less than 2 weeks, mga mid August. Nabulok nanaman itong post ko.

Half of 2021 is over

Looking back, I should have set exact goals for this year so I can sense full accomplishment by December but I guess I still have time to set them.

For a start, I got myself a term insurance last January, then a health-life last April. So in protection aspect, though not that sufficient, I am pretty satisfied with what I took considering my budget. I also got a hospital microinsurance to aid my Philhealth, just in case, last Feb. I was obsessed in having insurances the first half of 2021 I knowwwww hahahaha but it felt I made right decisions for my future.

Business is great, it has continuously going in a good pace more because of the pandemic. Still have this bad habit of saving instead of investing but I'm working on it. I have started reviving my MP2 which was dormant for more 2 years I guess? And updated a couple of funds I availed the past 3 yrs.

I am eager to get a land for rental properties but my money isn't enough. I dunno. With all these level ups compared to pre-business, I still feel I am not doing enough. It felt like I'm running out of time. I have to make up for the opportunities lost the past 8 years of working.

Hopefully before the year ends, I can achieve another milestone. I haven't fully thought of buying a residential lot since I have huge desire to build a rental property, most likely a residential apartment, but marriage is coming up next year and I think it would be unfair to my husband to make him stay in my lair (lol) now I'm considering it.

I'm now open to put up another business, which would be for my future family, kaso ang hirap pala magisip lalo na gamay ko na to. Pharmaceutical business is heavily regulated, I'd like to stay away from it as much as possible. Ano kaya maganda na pandemic proof?

They say it is better you have a purpose in saving, rather than saving then think of what to do with it. Di ko pa rin naaapply.
