Tapeworm|he/him| horror erotic artist| 18+ only
I draw mostly my own characters, do a lot of worldbuilding
I also love to sculpt and make gross things out of silicone.
Do not tag my art as "kin" or anything related to otherkin stuff, it is incredibly important to me.
And my species are personal and not for use by anyone else without explicit written permission.
Hi, I’m Tape and draw a ton of horror in the divine and romance in gore, and love a god with great eyebrows
I do both digital and traditional work, including sculpture
Tape's designs through the years, I would have taken old pictures and used those buuttt I there's some stuff I can't find any art of so I just decided to draw them all.
I've had him as a character and fursona for 20 years, since I was 12. I've tried to make other fursonas to take on being the main one but they never worked out. He originally got his name because I listened to Needles by SOAD when drawing the first picture of him and thought Tapeworm would be a cool name.
You can see them in the line here
first design. I had just joined deviantart and found out about fursonas and thought it would be cool to make one, but I based his heavily on someone else's (they did call me out on it too) and just like drew it only twice before ditching it.
Amazing how quickly he went from sparkledog to some monster.
The second one, I colored like shown here more often even though the skin was supposed to look more like cracked lava. But that was beyond my skills at the time so he just got colored red. And the spikes on his shoulders could move to be like wing muscles and he could make fire wings that way.
third one????
There's several more designs that I don't have on here because they only lasted a couple months if that, some I drew once and didn't like. I think it's pretty cool to see them all in one place because it shows how I've developed as a person, and you can see when I settled into myself.
Third was supposed to go with the second, being a more destructive version (he's associated with planetary destruction for most of his time as a character) but I don't know why it looks more tame than the previous one. I don't know what's going on with the colors either, I never even really cared for blue.
fourth design happened around the time I started smoking weed and found out about the skull faces of black dragons. I was just wow that's hideous I love it, I need him to have an ugly skull face. And eye searing. But for some reason his insides are still blue??
fifth design was a part of the same story, him after something happened? I don't remember anymore, but he's still associated with planetary destruction because it's cool.
6th is when we really start getting familiar! Also related to the previous story? but something happened and he turned into this monster instead and this is also the start of him having a rock in his belly. I can't remember the reason for it here anymore though. The scars on his chest are a gender thing, because that's when I realized I was trans.
7th is when he got the transparent belly, still kinda gangly and here I drew him more fat than I did then. Skistomids have been created by now and I got into my worldbuilding.
and 8th is now, the ravenous fuck off huge worm we know and love. I initially drew him fat because I drew him as a fat salamander thing from a dream, then wondered what he'd look like fat.. right before making a reference sheet, and then drawing him thin felt weird so he's just gotten fatter since.
There's a bunch more designs that I attempted for him, I didn't include them because I either drew them only once or twice or can't remember them.
I feel like talking about worldbuilding so here's the planets I have figured out for the Padran system.
The sun is names Padoro, closest planet is an uninhabited one called Avek (it does have a planetary god, but they decided to not want any life on it)
then sibling planets Klaskla and Levidus, the planetary gods to them are as close to siblings as they can get and the planets are locked to each other by a large moon. Much of the life on them is similar and related. I haven't figured out the god of Klaskla, but the god of Levidus is a hippie ass guy named Laikhe
The sophonts of Klaskla are Hazi, which have closer to what we consider modern technology and have even achieved space travel, mostly to Levidus. The ones of Levidus are the heska-rii, which live much more traditional lives but have embraced the technology that the Hazi have shared with them.
Then Vakkour and skistomids. The surface of Vakkour is incredibly desolate and contains no life because of the super heated atmosphere and constant violent storms. So, everything lives in the MASSIVE caves. Skistomids (endonym is Muhiliikhe), and they have no idea that other planets exist.
Then there's Zagd-munji, a broken up planet with each chunk of it having a less powerful god attached. Some of these chunks have life, others do not. Hazi and Heska-rii consider it "the world of the gods"
Those are all the ones I've figured out, the most detailed one I have is Vakkour and I'm just now branching out to Levidus and Klaskla. Over all I've been doing worldbuilding with this forrr 16 years I wanna say?
Khrosa is a form of wrestling, I haven't figured out all of the details of what goes into it, but it looks similar to sumo, but it's based off of the fighting skistomids to for mating.
Khrosaken are what the wrestlers are called, they tend to be decently fat and often have scars on their shoulders and lower neck due to the biting while wrestling. They paint their bellies green with black spots to resemble Tape's, and wear intestines around their necks. The belt is optional.
I wanted to draw Tape's fat head and then decided he needed to be fluorescing and with blood
I also lied to myself, saying I was going to gradient map and then color over that but then I just completely undid the grayscale shading coloring him like this
I decided to do some skistomid art on a scapula and decided it's going to be about eating a tasty dinner of noodles with salmon, clams, crab meat and mushrooms
I've always wanted to fully figure out art for skistomids, but whenever I'd try to do anything with figures, it didn't feel right and was always inconsistent, but along with the figures, I did actually just decide to use this patterning I like to draw as some skistomid art.
And that's been the only constant with it, but I am happy with the idea of them using the patterning to tell the stories and depictions over trying to do figures.
There is specific meanings to the different patterns, the most obvious is the edges with mushrooms (the white spots around them are spores, the white underneath them is mycelium), the scalloping is the one eating, and the white lines are the teeth, the spots are the crab, the patterning is the salmon and its flesh, the c parts are the clams, and the arrows going in are the sauce and noodles.
And all of the colors on this can be gotten from the different fungi, whether it's pigment from the mushroom itself, or the spores, and the iron rich ground. But to skistomids, the red parts would look gray.
