after her heats pge cant stand alpha scents so only rak and infekted are allowed in her room. infekted brings her chips and water and apple slices he cut himself (yes he used an apple corer but pge doesnt need to know that). pge coos “is that my pup?” and it makes infekted melt. pge makes him cuddle with her and he pretends to hate it but he loves cozying up to her. she tells him how much she loves his pup scent, how much better it is than stinky alpha smell. warmth blossoms through his pounding chest while the comparison gnaws at him. a feeling of chilling possessiveness, a twinge of she likes me better. his sweet face beams with pride. thankfully, she can’t smell his arousal. these moments are something only they share—he’s special to her in a way they can’t be.

so when he presents, his entire world shatters. it starts with an ache in his gums and a rage simmering in his guts. the alphas’ scents clinging to her have never bothered him the way they do now. he’s found them a bit gross, and hated how they masked pge’s sweet mint and raspberry, but they’ve never made anger build in his throat. and pge can smell it, that sweet milky scent spoiling and shifting into something else entirely. infekted growls that she doesn’t need those disgusting alphas. then it’s very clear infekted and the stench is making her sick. she starts crying and so does infekted. he’s not her pup anymore and he never will be.
