☪–Desperately Seeking Caffeine

Once again, she was sitting at her usual table tucked away in the farthest corner of the café reading a random book she had pulled out of her large collection of books-this time it was “The Scarlet Letter-by Nathaniel Hawthorne” although this time she couldn’t really concentrate all too well, as she was impatiently awaiting the jasmine tea she had ordered earlier.
As her eyes skimmed the page, she also occasionally glanced at the counter to see if her order was ready. Unfortunately, Hyuna decided to come in at the wrong time as the place was packed with people and the noise was unbelievable, which meant that it was difficult to concentrate on her book.
Although she tried her hardest to concentrate, she couldn’t so instead she decided to watch and observe people as she waited. There was a random lady shouting at the barista to hurry up as she was late for a meeting, another man was complaining about his order being wrong and not far from where she was sitting, there was a baby shrieking and crying while its mother tried desperately to calm it down. It was a complete hell house.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, they finally called out her name. Instantly she got up and pushed through the crowd as fast as she could, only to be disappointed by her order. she looked down at the coffee cup and frowned.
“iced mocha? that’s definitely not what i ordered-i don’t even like coffee.”
She let out a frustrated sigh and joined the rest of the people yelling at the barista. “Excuse me, but this isn’t what i ordered!” however, no matter how many times she called out he just ignored her. “What a jerk.” she scoffed under her breath.
As she was about to turn around and go back to her seat, she made eye contact with someone familiar, someone she hadn’t seen in a long time.
