Imagine the level of whimsy I could reach if I just had $5M in my bank account rn
Honestly it boils down to reparenting yourself & rewiring your own neuronal pathways & telling yourself a firm “stop” when you notice your mind slipping down negative loopholes & being present in the moment & enjoying being mid task rather than waiting for it to end & not thinking of inertia as your baseline and natural way of living
So tempting to keep embarking on the same self destructive cycle over & over & over again . But at some point you have to put ur foot down w ur own behaviors & be the thing that truly saves u

HEY SO CAN I GET SOME OF UR ATTENTION ON WHAT’S HAPPENING IN ALBANIA RN
So the government approved a $4 billion luxury tourism development project covering 2.6 million square meters across the Portonovo coastal area in Zvërnec and nearby Sazan Island. IT IS BACKED BY THE INVESTMENT FIRM LED BY KUSHNER AND IVANKA TRUMP.
The people are angry and are protesting in the thousands because of environmental destruction (The construction cuts straight into the highly sensitive, protected Vjosa-Narta lagoon ecosystem famous for its flamingos) and absence of transparency from the government.
The situation turned explosive on May 30 at the Zvërnec project site when a peaceful protest turned violent. Private security guards clashed with locals and used pepper spray, which accidentally hit state police officers and journalists, too. They also dragged and physically assaulted a protester. This caused protests to start in the capital as well.
The protests have been peaceful. There are claims going around foreign media that protesters burned down the PM house. That’s not true, it’s older footage from another unrelated protest (and it’s the house of former dictator, not PM). However, yesterday, even though the protest was peaceful, the police tried to escalate it by spraying high pressure water on protesters, amidst who were also children. This is unacceptable and breaks international law.
As of now, protests are ongoing and still peaceful. Prime Minister Edi Rama offered to meet with a 20-person activist delegation to negotiate, but protesters completely rejected the invitation, demanding the immediate cancellation of the contracts and the resignation of the cabinet.
Also albanian media have been covering everything up and not talking about the protest or what’s going on. We are hoping for some international pressure on top of the protests and as many eyes on us as possible!
ALBANIA IS NOT FOR SALE
Another note on why these protests are so important:
They started because of the Kushner project, but have ever since expanded and encompassed several matters that the albanian population has been suffering throughout all these years, such as corrupt politicians stealing from the population and forcing thousands of albanians to immigrate throughout these years (I was one of them, also it is estimated that around 49% of albanians have left albania), very low wages and very high prices, the gentrification of the country, the collapse of schools and hospitals (when i was a kid there used to be 31-37 students in one classroom, my mom who is a teacher recently told me that now there’s about 19 kids in one classroom because they keep leaving the country), the hospitals do not have the right medications for oncology patients, and you cannot take a blood test in a state hospital or get certain medications after the 20th because “they run out of supplies”, the only way is to shell out money in private hospitals but how do you think that affects a population that is also struggling with very low wages? The people are protesting for all and every one of these reasons and because we are TIRED OF SEEING OUR COUNTRY BECOME A PLAYGROUND FOR THE SUPER RICH WHILE THE LOCAL POPULATION SUFFERS
