Kyungsoo replies with nothing but an awkward chuckle that trails off at the end, leaving what seemed to him like an unwelcome silence. The male must be kidding, right? Right. There was no way Kangwoo could have misread that. He was a Korean, for heaven’s sake, there was no damned way the other male was genuinely misreading that.
His attention is stolen yet again by the childlike exclamation. The boy’s energy amused him to no end and he always found it peculiar as to how Kangwoo would get all energetic and eager when it came to this author that he seemed to be so fond of. Kyungsoo only hopes that the said author is a decent person himself and not the reason behind the strange jokes Kangwoo was making.
“No, no, not at all.” He flashes the male a tight-lipped smile, shaking his head. “You’re just always so enthusiastic. I can’t wait to meet him myself.” Kyungsoo lifts his wrist to check the time on his watch. “It’s okay though, I have all the time in the world. I’m kinda free today too! What should we do while we wait?” He asks, though he’s not paying attention and waiting for the male’s reply so much as he’s flipping through the manuscript in his hand to scrutinise for any clues as to what gave rise to this odd behaviour of Kangwoo’s.
“I don’t know, hyung.” Kangwoo’s lower lip juts out into a small pout as he bounces on the couch cushions in excitement, also from being a little too impatient about the arrival of his Jaeyeol hyung. “We could do anything while we wait.” He nodded, doe eyes roaming around the room to try and think of something they could do to pass the time.
It hadn’t really come to his mind, but his stomach reminds him how hungry he was at this moment, grumbling loudly between the silence in the room. Smiling sheepishly. Kangwoo places a hand over his stomach. “I’ve only been snacking here and there...” He admits. “Could we possibly cook a bit while we wait?” He gives his best puppy eyes, knowing how well his hyung is at preparing food.
