I don’t know if any other aros have this issue, but I don’t relate to the aro experience of never dreaming about your wedding. I actually did do that, but in a way of “this is the only part of marriage that appeals to me.” And it was always with the ceremony being short as possible (although I attributed that to my disability limiting how long I can stand up), and the reception being as long as possible.

Eventually I realized I just wanted a party because I like any event that allows me to eat cake and out dance everyone else at the cha cha slide.

people really don’t get that sexual attraction without romantic attraction doesn’t look just one way. I know 99% of people on this site think the only way to experience lust is through objectification. they act like romance has the exclusive right to butterflies and smiles and sexual attraction without it is gross and base and totally alien and antithetical to all those Good Fun Acceptable Feelings. but listen, lemme tell you about my crush. (technically my smush but I don’t love that word so we’re calling him my crush.) no, I don’t want him to be my boyfriend. I don’t want to plan a life together or hold his hand under the stars. but my heart beats faster when we talk. I get nervous sending him messages and I spend a little too much time thinking of what I’m gonna say. I replay imaginary conversations with him in my head. I want us to spend more time together, I want to confess how I feel, I want to see him smile. are you, hypothetical alloromantic reading this, gonna look at all that and still say we have nothing in common just because my feelings are sexual in nature? I’m just one alloaro and I’m not gonna say everyone feels like me but damn why does everyone want me to be a freak of nature so badly when I just want to be close to someone just like you

Help with food?

It’s the end of the month and I only have 9 dollars left in foodstamps. I won’t get more foodstamps until the 8th, and the money I have right now is only about enough to pay bills and that’s only thanks to recent commissions I got.

I made some Sensory Overload Cards that you guys can use - sometimes everything can become too much for us to cope with, and we can feel overwhelmed and want to go somewhere quiet to calm down.

I’ve walked out of class a couple of times because I was experiencing sensory overload, and I thought it would be a good idea to have some cards that we can show teachers/friends/whoever if we need to leave the situation but can’t bring ourselves to talk.

Here’s a link to the PDF that you can print out and cut up - there’s eight identical, small cards so that there’s enough for you to put one in each bag/jacket pocket so that you always have one with you.

Animal regression idea:

If you are a pet that doesn't traditionally wear collars, such as a farm animal, one thing you could do is make an earring that looks like a tag to mimic tags on livestock?

You could do it with clip on earrings too if your ears aren't pierced. I dunno just an idea♡
