Clearly Kye was dreaming. How could Rami be standing here before him. "Ra...Rami?" He stuttered afraid to move forward. "How?" He breathed. "How is this possible?"

Then he couldn't stay away. He threw himself at his brother, the tears finally flowing down his cheeks. "Thank the queen..." He whimpered wrapping his arms around Rami, burying his face in his elder brother's chest. "Don't disappear Please..."

"I understand, love. When you are ready, I will help you set them free" Luca says with a kiss to his forehead. Luca understood more than anyone how complicated family could be and siblings sometimes needed convincing but he wanted to help his soulmate by any means.

Luca smiled down at Kye, caressing his cheek tenderly. "You have all of me, my soulmate, what would you like to know?" He asks "Why don't we go to the balcony? It can bring in a light breeze to set the mood"

Kye let his eyes flutter closed as he held Luca's hand against his cheek. This felt good. Being with Luca felt good. He never wanted to lose the feeling of having a special person that wasn't one of his siblings. "Thank you, Luca sir...for being willing to help me. I know my brothers will see...will see how awful our parents are. They will love it here, Luca sir. Just like i do."

Smiling with a nod, Kye took Luca's hand and twined their fingers together. "That sounds lovely, Luca sir. I want to know everything about you. I want to know what brings you joy, Luca sir."

"Don't worry, Kye, Gabriel knows ways to calm people down. He's the peacekeeper in our family alongside Grandma Sera" Kayce grins.

"He is. My sister and I were his children from another relationship. She was a shifter but she died giving birth to Kayla and I." He says before laughing "Tiny Sir? I like it. Would Layla be Tiny Miss?" He asks "So are you destined to be our mom?"

"I trust you...worst case Finch gets us all in trouble." He beamed, despite everything, Kye loved his twin. Even his moodiness. "He's not a bad person, tiny sir. Just a little toasty at the edges. Inside he's a marshmallow."

"Kayla is little miss yes...yes tiny sir. I like that. I am sorry to hear about your mother."

"They wanted me to fold. They wanted me to stop fighting them for you guys. After what happened with Rami....i couldn't do that" Leo said, unsure if Kye knew yet that Rami was alive and that he and his daughter were in New York. He knew how hard Kye took it when their parents told everyone Rami and his child "died". "I never would have left without a reason. You guys are the reason I do everything I do. I just want a better life for us all." He adds as he hugs his brother.

"His words cut deep but I know it will take time to mend our broken relationship." Leo says with a sigh. He and Finch were always the closest as the misunderstood children of the Starling family, which was why his words hurt the most. Leo loved all of his siblings but he saw alot of himself in Finch which was why he often took the brunt of their parent's anger to protect him. He fought for them all, yes, but it was Finch he fought the hardest for. Of them all Finch deserved to be happy the most after all he had been through and he knew Kye would agree.

Kye moved forward, putting his arms around his eldest brother. "Do not hold onto this guilt, brother. What's done is done. You are here now. That's all that matters, yes?"

Kye rubbed Leo's back in calming circles. "Finch was inconsolable for a long time when you left. You know he is slow to trust anyone. But he loves you. We all do. I am so happy you are here. Maybe we can all be a family again." He choked up a bit. Because the family would still be incomplete. Without Rami.

"Kayla can hold her own" Kayce laughed as he leads rhe Fae to where he last saw his sister.

"I guess he left with my uncle." Kayce says softly "He's in good hands. Uncle Gabriel is gentle" he tells the other Fae. "Oh hey! Weren't you talking to my dad earlier?"

“Your Uncle, sir? Finch might be mean to him. My brother can be cruel, sir.” Kye pressed his lips together in thought. “I don’t know how he will react to gentle, sir.”

“I was speaking to Luca sir. Is he your father? That would make you , tiny sir!”

Luca caressed his chest and smiled. "I promise I will be good to you, Kye. I will do everything I can to make things ok for you and your siblings. No matter what. You are my world now, Kye Starling" he says kissing his forehead.

"I want to, Kye. You're my soulmate, I want you safe. I want your siblings safe. And it would really make Leo feel better if you were all safe as well. He really has been beating himself up since he joined us here. He feels like he failed you even though he had his reasons for leaving. So truly it helps us both. It gives me peace of mind that my forever love is safe and gives my platonic soulmate peace of mind that his siblings are safe. And it will ease your burden just a bit knowing your siblings can't be found by those horrible people" he says kissing his head. "Will you let me help you, my precious soulmate?"

Kye smiled softly. “You really are very kind, Luca sir. I will speak to my siblings. I won’t force them , Luca sir. But it would be very difficult to leave any of them behind.”

Kye took Luca’s hand and squeezed it. “But let us enjoy this beautiful evening, Luca sir. I want to learn about you and your family. Will you share yourself with me?”

Luca caressed his chest and smiled. "I promise I will be good to you, Kye. I will do everything I can to make things ok for you and your siblings. No matter what. You are my world now, Kye Starling" he says kissing his forehead.

Kye melted against Luca. He adored affection. It was different from the affection he got from his siblings. With them it was familial. He was always sure to be extra affectionate with them. Especially Thorn. It was nice to feel it from another.

Luca was beautiful and kind. Kye could see himself with someone like him. He had a beautiful smile, handsome face. But there was so much more to him. Kye prided himself on seeing people's auras. Luca was a comforting light.

"I know you will, Luca sir. You deserve the world, Luca sir." When he said he could protect them he felt a little lighter. "That would be most kind of you, Luca sir. But I couldn't ask you to do that."

"Kayla can hold her own" Kayce laughed as he leads rhe Fae to where he last saw his sister.

"You are most kind sir. Thank you." By the time they got there, Finch had moved on. Kye felt worry start to flutter in his stomach. Where had Finch gone? He could feel through his bond with his twin that he was fine. Where ever he was.

"Maybe I will even if it's just to meet new people that aren't pack" Hiro hummed.

"Packs are important, sir. But its nice to meet other people as well, sir. Having friends is important."

"I joined Luca and his family in this realm after Mother and Father threatened to kill me for being defiant and trying to protect you and the others from them and their shady deals. I thought I was doing the right thing by leaving because they would have followed through and killed me if I stayed. So I came here to try to find a place for us to be safe and free and hidden from them and their....associates. But it seems me leaving just made things worse for everyone but Cyprien. I wanted to apologize. Finch refuses to forgive me or see the reasoning behind why I left. But I couldn't protect you if I was dead but I guess I still failed you all by leaving. So im sorry for not being the big brother you all needed me to be"

Kye sucked in a breath then was instantly hugging his eldest brother. "I had no idea they were so cruel to you. They simply told us you left. That you didn't want to be in our family anymore. But I didn't believe them. You would never leave without a good reason."

He pulled back, a little misty eyed. "Don't worry about Finch. His words are harsh but his heart is delicate. He missed you the most."

Kye smiled softy. “Of course, brother. It’s been a while. Where did you go?”

"I don't really get out much but this seems nice" Hiro says sipping a drink.

"Mr. Magnus throws the best parties. You should come to more, sir."

Luca smiled down at Kye and nodded. "Of course I would, gorgeous. Your family is special to me because it is special to Leo and he is connected to me. But also because you are special to me, Kye." He says kissing Kye's hands that held his own. "I will make sure you are all alright. You have my word."

Luca takes a breath at Kye's question before slowly unbuttoning his shirt to reveal the younger Fae's initials on his chest over his heart. He took Kye's hand and placed it over his soulmate mark. "You feel warm because Lady Fate chose you to be my soulmate and me to be yours" he says softly.

Luca smiles. "My uncle will be alright he will treat your brother well regardless of his difficulty"

Luca reached up and caressed the back of hia neck. "You cannot see it but you have my initials on you. Soulmate bonds are unbreakable only in death. There is no magic stronger than soulmate magic. We can feel each other and we will always find each other because we are one now. Two halves of a whole" he explains, lacing their fingers together. Soulmate magic is even more powerful than blood magic. All blood oaths are void when a soulmate bond is formed. Your parents may have powerful allies but so do we. I daresay ours are more powerful. I will not let anything happen to you or your siblings. If anything happened to you...I couldn't bear the thought. Just trust me, mt soulmate, let me help."

Kye stared down at their linked hands. A warm calm enveloped him then. Like everything would now be okay. Now that he finally found Luca, his person.

A soft smile appeared on his lips as he brought their fingers to his mouth and kissed them.

“I never believed in soulmates before, Luca sir. That was always Cyprien. But I can feel it, Luca sir. Here.” He brought their hands to his chest.

Kye spread his fingers so he could see the glowing initials. They were in fact his. "Oh Luca sir..." He didn't know what to say. He didn't believe in soulmates. Because the Starling's didn't get to mate for love. So Kye never allowed himself that dream. But here it was...a tangible truth. Removing his hand, he leaned in to kiss the spot.

"Oh Luca sir..." He whimpered. "I want to believe you, Luca sir. But I amafraid. Not for myself, Luca sir. But for my siblings. We couldn't follow Leo, Luca sir. My parents have powerful allies. I fear what will happen, Luca sir."

Kye cocked his head. "Your uncle likes him, Luca sir?"

"I haven't seen him but I don't mind helping you look. And I'm Cody, you don't have to call me sir" Cody smiles, a stark contrast to his grumpy twin.

"But I must, Cody sir! It would be rude not to, Cody sir!" Kye chirped. He beamed when he offered to help. "That's very nice of you Cody sir! Best place to look is angry mobs!"

"He was talking to my sister at the bar last time I saw him" Kayce ssys helping him look.

"Thank you much. Kayce sir! We should go there first! See if anyone is yelling Kayce sir!"

"Kayla seemed to be enjoying herself so Finch must not have been too awful to her. He's with mt uncle Gabriel now, I think" Luca chuckles before nodding "Leo did mention you were all in this realm. I felt his distress earlier when he was talking to Finch. I take it that's still bad? I wouldnt have asked him to join me if I knew it would cause so many issues between Leo and the rest of you. I apologize if it caused more trouble for you all." He says before eyeing Kye. "And you, Kye, are you in a rush to go back?" He asks genuinely interested. Of all of his platonic soulmate's siblings, Luca had always felt a pull to Kye that he couldn't explain. His children thought it was because Kye wss his destined but Luca didnt want to get his hopes up too high.

"Leo has his regrets but he truly wants to find a safe space for you all. He thinks he finally found it here in New York. We have plenty of means to keep you all safe and hidden. Even to sneak your other siblings out" Luca says before he frowned at the mention of Malachi. "Pardon my language but that man is becoming a real pain in the ass." He says "We can hide you. He will never find you or your siblings. Leo and Cyprien fall under our protection with their links to our family, so do you and your siblings by extension. We have successfully hidden someone from Malachi before." He says softly so no one could overhear.

Luca reached up and gently wiped his eyes. "Stay, all of you, we can protect you. Hide you. You would be safe here. I wouldn't be able to love with myself knowingmy platonic soulmate's family was being sold to that monster and I didn't try to help." He says softly as he caresses his cheek, gently placing a kiss to his forehead without thinking. He felt his whole body tingle but chose to keep it to himself unless Kye mentioned it.

Luca chuckles and shakes his head. "I wouldn't worry too much about Uncle Gabe. He actually likes the challenging ones"

As Luca spoke, Kye’s eyes grew wider and wider. “You’d do that for us, Luca sir? I don’t know how I could repay such generosity, Luca sir.”

It sounded amazing. Kye allowed himself a glimmer of what that protection would mean for him, for all of them. He took Luca’s hands holding them tightly. “You are the kindest most beautiful man, Luca sir. We will be alright, Luca sir. I’ll make sure of it.”

At the brush of Luca’s lips to his forehead, Kye felt a jolt that went all the way to his toes. He dropped one of Luca’s hands to touch the spot. “What’s this? A kiss? From Luca sir? Why do I feel so hot?”

“Finch is very challenging, Luca sir. I hope your uncle will be okay!”
