Leo let out a choked sob when Finch hugged him, holding his younger brother close. "Thank you" he says softly. He truly had missed Finch the most of all his siblings since they had a special bond being the oldest and the black sheep and caught the most crap from their parents.

Leo nodded, wiping his eyes. "They won't find me" he says holding up his wrist to show the bracelet the Lee Moons had Eric make for him similar to the one he made for Skylar. "I will keep trying to find a way to fix this and keep you guys safe"

Leo tilted his head curiously. "How so? Besides this" he asks curiously as he gestures between them.

"They wanted me to fold. They wanted me to stop fighting them for you guys. After what happened with Rami....i couldn't do that" Leo said, unsure if Kye knew yet that Rami was alive and that he and his daughter were in New York. He knew how hard Kye took it when their parents told everyone Rami and his child "died". "I never would have left without a reason. You guys are the reason I do everything I do. I just want a better life for us all." He adds as he hugs his brother.

"His words cut deep but I know it will take time to mend our broken relationship." Leo says with a sigh. He and Finch were always the closest as the misunderstood children of the Starling family, which was why his words hurt the most. Leo loved all of his siblings but he saw alot of himself in Finch which was why he often took the brunt of their parent's anger to protect him. He fought for them all, yes, but it was Finch he fought the hardest for. Of them all Finch deserved to be happy the most after all he had been through and he knew Kye would agree.

Leo nods and hugs his brother back tightly. He truly missed Kye who was almost always the voice of reason. "That's all I want, For us to be a family again...without their influence and control "he says softly, stroking Kye's hair when he choked up, knowing he was thinking of Rami. Kye was always closest to Rami besides Finch and he knew how much his younger brother missed him. He wanted to tell him that Rami and Nahla were alive, that their parents disowned them and sent them away when they realized Nahla was different, imperfect, but he made a promise to Rami that he could be the one to approach their brothers.

"I missed you all so much. You have no idea how badly I missed you all" Leo says, holding his little brother and stroking his hair as his own tears fell.

Leo wiped Thorn's tears and sighed. "It's not that simple, little brother. They said if I came back they would kill me on sight. You know Mother and Father always follow through with their threats."

"Thornie, I didn't fight with them because of anything you or the others did. I fought with them because they wanted to control every aspect of our lives. I fought with them because the only one they ever gave any sort of freedom was Cyprien and that was because they thought he and Jacob would end up together but they turned out to be platonic soulmates. I fought with them because of how they handled what happened to Rami. I fought with them for trying to sell everyone off to people who just want to use us as breeders. Malachi and Kieran weren't the first, they were just the worst. I fought with them because I didn't care what they did to me as long as they left you and the others alone. "He told me it got bad after I left but it got that bad?" Leo says softly as he stroked Thorn's hair. "You're not gonna lose me, baby brother, but that's why I can't go back. If I do either Mother and Father will kill me or Malachi for Kieran because I'm a threat to their "breeders" our parents sold to them"

"No, you're right, I won't disappear again" Leo said, wiping his eyes once Finch turned his back to him. "I don't matter as long as you and the others are safe. That's all I want and then maybe you'll be able to forgive me." He says before adding so low it was mostly to himself but loud enough for Finch to hear. "Maybe then I'll be able to forgive myself for failing you"

I thought I was doing the right thing by leaving because they would have followed through and killed me if I stayed. So I came here to try to find a place for us to be safe and free and hidden from them and their....associates. But it seems me leaving just made things worse for everyone but Cyprien. I wanted to apologize. Finch refuses to forgive me or see the reasoning behind why I left. But I couldn't protect you if I was dead but I guess I still failed you all by leaving. So im sorry for not being the big brother you all needed me to be"

Cyprien was truly his only sibling who held all of their secrets. "I worry they won't understand Nahla. You and I have grown used to her way of communicating but she's different"

"You could hide. There are plenty that have done it successfully, some here in New York" Leo shrugged, letting his hand drop once the Fae stepped back. "I only hope to be there when Malachi meets his end and I hope he dies screaming. I have seen the aftermath of what he does to people and I wouldnt wish that on anyone. I watched the light leave the eyes of someone close to my platonic soulmate. He is still picking up the pieces"

"Jax you seem genuine and that you don't truly want to do Malachi's bidding but the fact still stands that you are bound to him. I don't know much about binding but unless you find your soulmate and break the bond to him, he can bend you and your brothers to his will and call you back. I've heard Malachi has a way of getting the information he wants even when the person doesn't want to give it" he says "Skylar is special to my platonic soulmate and his family and he fought long and hard to be free. I won't be the one to jeopardize that, I hope you understand. Even if your pretty face is tempting."

"I have no doubt you can hold your own against Malachi, you seem very capable. A fighter as well as a nurturer." Leo hums "We know he will eventually come here if you and your brothers are here, with my brothers here. He feels like he's close to finding Skylar. We just want to hold off his rampage of New York as long as possible"

Without thinking, Leo reached out and touched the brand. "He branded you." He frowns "That son of whore needs to be stopped." He says through gritted teeth. "He can't have my brothers and you and your brothers deserve better. Malachi deserves to die alone. Alone and a painful torturous death for his sins. I know many right now that would kill him themselves. My parents deserve the same fate for bringing this upon my siblings." Leo didn't know why but he felt...protective...of the branded Fae. "Jax right?"

Cyprien was his only sibling who knew they were hiding Skylar in New York and never told a soul. Leo knew Cyprien never would, he wasn't the type to damn someone like that. "I would rather they not deal with Malachi at all"

"Blood bonds can be broken with the right kind of magic. But you have to trust that I am trying, Finch. I am trying to fix things! I thought i was doing the right thing! I couldn't protect you if I stayed because they would have killed me but it seems leaving I failed anyway!" Leo says not even able to stop his tears at this point.

Leo felt as if Finch had stabbed him in the heart with a dagger when he told him to go die. He already felt like the worst brother even though he left to try to save them and himself. "Time. I will give you time but please don't cut me out completely, brother. I really am trying" he says softly before nodding, knowing he had to speak with both Thorn and Kye if they would let him.

"You and the others are the most important people in my life besides Luca, Gryffin and Luca's kids. I never wanted any of this for any of you, least of all Finch. Finch was the one I fought with our parents over the most. I hated the way they treated him then and now but Finch neither believes nor forgives me" he says wiping Thorn's tears. He shook his head when Thorn told him to go. "They can't find me here. I'm hidden. The Lee Moons have connections here that keep me hidden and unable to be tracked. We have hidden others too"

I left because I wanted to find a way without them knowing and killing me before I could fulfill my promise."
