Hey look! I made one of those art memes! Send me an ask with an outfit number and a character and I’ll draw it~
some studies I did yesterday.
if you guys are in need of a simple database of references for studies/drawing, then check out: https://line-of-action.com/
it’s my go-to if I need gesture or anatomy practice.
July 21st is National Junk Food Day!
So ya’ll already know what’s going on! Draw your characters enjoying their FAVORITE foods!
Don’t be shy! No food is a bad food!
TREAT YO SELF

Found some hands tutorial by me
Not in English but hope it will help???????
In case someone still need this.
There’s more tutorials and comics you can get from me here ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)━☆゚.*・。゚physical copies / itch / gumroad
So my professor lent me this hard tip brush pen thing and thats what i used for the old lighthouse keep dude drawing and guys
Its the best pen ive ever inked with bc im so shakey with inking but this pen made it so easy and it has line variation
And he said i could keep it
*VIBRATES EXCITEDLY*
LIKE BEANS THIS IS ALL FROM THE ONE PEN
IM CRYING
THIS IS THE PEN, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT BRAND IT IS BC I CAN’t READ THE LABEL.
My professor said it got it from Jet Pens online? Ill ask him the brand tommarrow
He said they were fairly cheap! :0
Its a Zebra disposable brush pen.
Here’s the link to them on that website: https://www.jetpens.com/Zebra-Disposable-Brush-Pen-Super-Fine/pd/2309
YOU ARE A BLESSING OMH THANK YOU <3
And they’re like 2 dollars guys this is the best pen ive ever owned in my life
AND ITS WATER PROOF I PUT SOME WATER ON SOEM LINES AND IT DIDNT BLEED GUYS THESE PENS
I have used these pens! They are, indeed, awesome. Very good for drawing outlines and then using watercolors over. One of these, a water brush, and a tiny set of watercolor pans and you have an awesomely portable art kit. Like so (though that one has a different black brush pen).
Hey.. I’m an artist who has been drawing for years but I’m starting to lose my motivation to draw? I feel like no one cares, I feel like my art isn’t rewarding to me? Not that I don’t love drawing, because I do, I just feel like it’s not worth the effort when only two people care, me included? It really kills my vibes.. do you have any tips for how to get past this??
I’ve had several people ask me this kind of same thing where they lose the motivation to make art because it’s not getting any engagement and tbh, the only response I can give is to just not give a fuck about the little attention it’s receiving? Like, why did you make art in the first place?
If it’s to improve that skill, then notes and likes and whatever shouldn’t really matter, because you have a goal and you are working to achieve it. Do you wanna draw realistically? Or have a cute art style? Work towards it. Looking at my favorite artist’s art always motivate me to be as good as them.
But then if it’s to mainly post online to receive engagement and stuff, boy there’s a lot of factors to it. Getting attention depends on the subject, art style(skill), and how relevant it is. These are the main things that grab people’s attention. If you have low art skills and can’t make stuff that well, people honestly won’t care, and they are not obligated to. Never get mad at people for not noticing/liking your art.
I’ll give an example using those 3 factors. This is one of my high-notes artworks, having 4k notes.
Subject: Geoff Ramsey. Fanart gets more attention than original art. People in a fandom are more likely to engage with it.
Art Style: Tarot Card+my own. I made the thing looking like Dragon Age’s tarot cards with patterns and textures. It’s a style that everyone sees and recognizes. My own art style shows I have at least some level of skill to portray what I want.
Relevance(not sure if this is the right word): Achievement Haunters. The video has just come out and one of the most notable thing was Geoff in that priest outfit with the arms ripped off. Everyone loved it, so seeing art makes people go “OOHH it’s the thing I just saw but in art form!!”
Sometimes its not these factors and is really just a hit-or-miss thing. Some people might not give a shit about something you put 6+ hours into and get interested in a 2 minute doodle instead. What you gotta do is mostly keep posting and keep communicating with people.
I just gave you a strategy on being an artist online ajskfhgkslj so I hope this helps. Sorry for any wrong English. DM or ask me if you wanna know about anything else :)
THANK YOU!! <3 I’m always very bad in explaining what I’m doing. Cause there is just a lot of trying and painting over it and mashing and mixing colors until I feel it’s good. So I tried to show you. I hope this helps!
What's some good tips for searching up refs? Like with backgrounds for example, how do I make Google just show me a normal goddamn house without all the fancy architect work and luxury mansions? And don't even get me started on my mistake of Googling "people doing normal stuff" and not even getting close to what I was expecting.
maybe try pinterest?
for houses maybe look at airbnb since they take lots of photos for the places they’re hosting. could be good ref
http://www.posemaniacs.com/tools/handviewer/ has a 3d view of a torso, head, foot, and some hand poses (make sure no one’s looking at your screen when you click the link haha)
http://www.posemaniacs.com/ for full body poses
and like, idk for people, if you really cant find any refs for it, make some yourself
heres an embarrassing photo of me in my pj’s making a ref for this artwork i did haha
>"I'm gonna see how long I can go to chastity cage >w>"
>not going to church and praying
>don't be a faggot dude, unfollowed
What brushes to you use for line art? Also what brush do you use to make your tutorials? (like the masculine/feminine bodies one, idk if you use the same one for line art or not)
you can find them in this post
also in that tutorial you mentioned, i think it was an old brush that i dont use anymore lol
Would you ever do a tutorial on how to draw figures??? Like actual people? Cuz I can only seem to draw disembodied heads :'(
i have no idea how to explain this im so sorry aaaaa
I just wanted to say I love your style, it's like a mix of cartoon but it has a lot of realism! I saw that post you posted where you showed your progress throughout the years and I couldn't believe how much you progressed. I hope to make that progress as well even though I'm lazy and don't draw that much. I need to try try try. Anyways just wanted to say your art styles are awesome and rad and I hope to have your kind of skills so I can show it to everybody just like you do! Have a nice day :^)
Oh my god thank you so much you’re too kind!! Keep drawing, I believe in you!!!!
OMG OMGOMGOM
cuck shit
Why is the mlp fandom filled with cucks and Zebra cuck shit?? Can we just nuke this
holy shit i’ve never seen the whole thing

FREE ART PROGRAMS
So recently I came across a fellow artist who was struggling to find a free art program, and considering dropping the large amount of money for a Photoshop license. I know not everyone can afford such an expensive program, so I’ve compiled a list of programs with no cost to download and use.
Keep in mind all computers are different, so not all will work for everyone. Also, I’ve only ever used Windows, so for the most part, I’m not sure if everything will work for Mac. if in doubt check the website linked.
Photoshop CS2 - (Windows, not sure about Mac.)
FireAlpaca - (Windows and Mac)
Sketchbook Copic Edition - (Windows and Mac)
GIMP - (Windows) (Mac)
Paint tool SAI [cracked] - (Windows) (Mac)
Paint tool SAI 2 beta - (tumblr post on said program)
iPaint - (Mac)
Paintbrush - (Mac)
Pencil - (Windows, Mac)
Paint.NET - (Windows)
Seashore [still in development, ver 0.5] - (Mac)
ChocoFlop - (Mac)
Inkscape - (Mac and Windows)
ArtRage [Demo] - (Mac and Windows)
OpenCanvas 1.1[must pay for 2.0] - (Windows, not sure about Mac.)
MyPaint - (Windows)
Krita - (Windows)
Vectorian [Supports Animation] - (Windows)
Pixia[Japanese, some English versions] - (Windows)
Asperite - (Windows)
Chasys Draw IES - (Windows)
SmoothDraw - (Windows)
TwistedBrush Open Studio - (Windows)
BOUNS - CTRL+Paint [Great for teaching all kinds of stuff, like how to use digital programs.]
If you know more free programs, please add onto this!
OpenToonz has made many improvements since it’s initial release! (Windows & Mac)
Medibang Paint is a comic drawing software forked from FireAlpaca mentioned earlier in this post, and is available for mobile devices as well! (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android)
