НЕТ, НУ ЗНАЕТЕ, ЧТО? Это, наверное, один из лучших (по моему мнению) арт за последнее время. Вынашивала желание и идею изобразить подобное уже несколько месяцев, пребывала в сомнениях, руки дошли только сейчас. Я впервые за долгое время в восторге от того, что получилось.

Умудрилась порисовать и даже ДОРИСОВАТЬ, сидя на смене. Эдакий "двуликий" капитан получился.

Yaaayy I’ve been doing little personal designs for the crews uniforms, I drew from a lot of different inspirations to make them distinct but still relevant and fitting…

Anya is based off of ww2 army medics and flight nurses, Curly has elements of both an airplane captain and a military captain, and Jimmy has stuff from airplane second officers. I wanted to give Swansea overalls and a more recognizably “mechanic” look, and Daisuke is Daisuke, with the tiger shirt thing again.

Also, Swansea has a little pink bracelet that his daughter made for him that he wears while out on shipments to feel closer to his family at home.

Daisuke has yellow laces on his boots, which is a little reference to lace code, a signal in punk culture way back in the day. Yellow laces meant anti-racist, a direct opposition to red laced neo-nazis and white laced white supremacists. Though lace code isn’t that popular anymore, I thought it was a cool addition, along with just matching the general color palette.

Not trying to “improve” the original designs, I just thought it’d be fun to make them all unique for fun, and to make it more interesting to draw them all. :3
