Wally, what can I say man? I hardly knew you but you seemed pretty ok for a cat. I know they found you in a Walmart parking lot so there’s that. I know you were adopted by a woman who ran a bed and breakfast out of an old Antebellum plantation house. Not a bad upgrade for you. Our paths crossed when I got job rebuilding the old smokehouse there. I know you once slept for two whole days curled up in a dropcloth. We figured you must have gotten your ass wooped pretty good the night before because you had a deep gash on your forehead and you could barley walk. Remember that time I fed you cheesy grits for breakfast? Remember when I took this picture? Probably not because you’re dead now. Still, I’m glad I stopped to pet you when I got to work yesterday. I didn’t know you wouldn’t be coming back from your vet visit. Turns out you had feline aids and the only thing stopping you from spreading that like peanut butter was all the Leukemia making you lethargic. So it goes, they put you down. Where are you now Wally? Are you in that great Walmart parking lot of the sky? Or maybe you’re on a big plantation like the one you came to live at just before the end.
