do you ever just passionately miss the first series of doctor who but not just because you miss Nine but because you miss the monsters and the simple story lines that were new and so interesting and the companions that didn’t need a magic back story to be special and weren’t just a new puzzle for the doctor to solve they were just ordinary people with ordinary lives and taught (especially the young viewers) that anyone can be a hero i just really miss season one okay
ABS-CBN posted this on their website recently encompassed in an article headlined, “How to Charm Pia Wurtzbach? Chris Evans Asked” but frankly, I teared up with Russo’s statement about film-making here.
I’m yet to put up some short vlogs from my LAX trip that happened 2 weeks ago, but I should say that my favorite stop had to be Universal Studios, more specifically the Studio Tour. It’s weird because I’ve never thought much about it, but when I saw it under a new light where I didn’t just keep waiting for the special effects to happen around me and really listen to what the directors onscreen were talking about, I couldn’t help but think of a reality where I chose to take up Film and how happy I’d be working.
I’ve underestimated Film, if I had to be honest. I know that now, I’m overreaching with the thought that I still have a chance at getting a career at Disney, Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, Pixar, or one of the Big League companies for Film and Animation (though still completely attainable; now’s no time to degrade myself; I’m already feeling too late in life). But I want to be there. I don’t want just sit on the Director’s chair; I want to walk around and explore every little detail of the filmmaking process. I want to man the lights, create the props, act, write the script, lead the storyboarding, and a lot of other things. I just can’t believe it took me this long to realize that though I have passions in music, art, writing, volleyball and other activities, this is where my passion to work lies: short- and long-term.Â
I’m glad my family is standing by me for whatever path I’ll choose to take to make my future one that will make me happy, but there’s a deeper meaning to it. I’ll be writing about everything soon, I promise, but for now, I hope that whoever’s worrying about my absence on this website doesn’t have to bother you. At this minute, I’m okay. I’m better than I was yesterday, and certainly better than I was last month. I’m trying to merely savor this feeling because I know that as this semester comes to a close, I’ll be facing a lot more mental and psychological stress soon, but that’s okay. Now, my first thought is finally something I want for myself, and that’s indeed something my past self wanted for my future self. At least, in this moment, I know I’m doing myself a favor.
