If there was one thing that Hyo was good at it was escaping her problems by drowning them in alcohol and loud music. The dancer was starting to feel as if the universe was testing her because as of late, everything seemed to be falling to pieces around her. In times such as this, Hyo would’ve found herself on the first plane she could book a ticket for, but her professionalism kept her in Seoul. That left the club scene to provide her with comfort, and she had every intention of getting nice and trashed.
The drinks in her system had Hyo feeling giddy and light on her feet as the siren call of the pounding beat urged her hips to sway along. There was nothing that could ruin her night, or so she thought. A pair of strong hands gripped her waist and pulled her close, as a very deep, and drunken voice began speaking in her ear. Her nose wrinkled in disgust as she rolled her eyes at the very lewd invitation and ripped herself out his grip, fighting the urge to elbow him as well. She wasn’t nearly drunk enough to even entertain herself by informing him of where he could stick that invitation, and instead decided it was best to ignore him and get herself another drink. He would soon find someone else to try his luck with and maybe he would even be successful. Her escape plan felt like it was working, until not too long after, the drunk decided that she must have been playing hard to get.
Having had more than her fill of his unwanted attention, Hyo had escaped deeper into the club and settled herself in a somewhat hidden corner. With her night bordering on ruined, she let out a huff of annoyance as she pulled out her phone to text a friend when a voice snatched her attention. Without even looking up, her lips curled into a snarl as unfiltered venom coated her words. “Look you fucking asshole, I tried to be nice, but now you’re pushing it. I’m not interested.”
Evangeline knew that clubs were risky business. She couldn’t clearly focus on just one person or just one desire or aspect someone wanted. It wasn’t simple or clear cut. They were difficult to handle in any and all aspects, so she always tried to stray from them. Drinking wasn’t her thing and while she enjoyed dancing every now and again, she wasn’t into much more than that. Majority of the time she ended up cornered because of her small stature, men and women drunk out of their minds deciding the smaller the prey the easier they would give in. She wasn’t into that and didn’t let it fly either. Of course Evan came in here first and then left her stranded, whisking herself together in what she could - but the clothing that had fit his male form was oversized on her much smaller female figure and she was left with trying to tug and tie the clothes in a way that would hug her figure and keep them from falling.
Only when she felt comfortable with how the clothes hung: the long sleeve button-up undone to mid-navel, tied there with the sleeves rolled up and her belt tightened with a new hole poked through the leather to keep the jeans snug even if they were baggy the whole length of her legs. What she wouldn’t give for a skirt right about now. A chuckle escaped her as she tousled her short blonde locks and stepped out of the woman’s room.
All at once her mind was under the extreme pressure of all the different people on the different floors of the club. Though Evangeline could feel the tug of one person in particular. Not out of a lustful desire but a desire for security.
“Protection...?” she muttered under her breath, eyes narrowing slightly as she glanced around the few feet she could see clearly in front of her. It was a difficult process, pushing past the people in drunken stupors and whisking past the men and women with travelling hands. A grasp at her ass had her swinging her arm, her hand connecting with a man’s cheek so hard he ended up stumbling back. She was lucky he wasn’t sober because she was able to get enough space between him and her. But then the need for protection hit her front and center - nearly forcing her back with the pressure it exuded on her mind. “What the fuck?!” She knew people were looking and she couldn’t care. She wanted this person to stop thinking at all but then turned her head and felt the waves coming off of what looked to be an abandoned corner of the club.
Only as she got nearer did she see the woman, alone, in the booth. She also saw the man she had slapped walking towards the booth, a glint in his eye. Moving quickly, she slipped into the seat next to the woman without a single word. The woman cursed, saying about how she wasn’t interested. I can understand that. Her eyes were focused on the man, waiting as he neared the booth and only when he was within range did she smile. With her husky voice just loud enough for him to hear over the two to three feet, she spoke quickly, “Babe, you’ve been hiding from me.” Then she turned to the woman, clasping her hands on her cheeks and leaning in to press a kiss to her lips. She stayed there, waiting until she heard his cursing fade out before she pulled away.
“I’m sorry about that-- It was the easiest way to get him off your tail it seems.”
