Wonât you believe itâs just my luck?
Cuckoo | Shintaro + Hinata
hinata tilted his head. he didnt remember him? he had tried various times before to befriend him, but it seemed he was never successful. shintaro always left before hinata could get a good amount of words out, which was a hard feat to do when you were with hinata shouyou, âwell, remember that time you almost fell into the pond? i grabbed your hand, remember? we talked for a little bit before you leftâŠ.â
Oh. Shintaro vaguely recalled a small, jumpy child who unsuccessfully attempted to talk to him after he had almost tumbled head-first into a body of water. He remembered the almost-falling part of that incident rather than anything that had happened before or after it, so it was no wonder he hadn't remembered this person before.
âSo, that was you..â He responded slowly, more for himself than anything. âUh....good to see you again?â What did he want, anyway? He couldnât remember anything they talked about the first time they met, and today, he presumed that would probably be no different.
Broken | Shintaro + Miyuki
Shintaro was having an awful day. Today was the one day of the week where he had classes both in the morning and the afternoon, and the excessive sun was really starting to get to him, considering he was usually used to the darkness of his closed-curtains, lights-off apartment. On top of that, he had dropped all his papers earlier, and he had no time to pick them up properly, and ended up stuffing them unceremoniously into his backpack. They were certainly all disorganized now by this point, he pondered miserably.
  And now this.
"N-no way..." It was almost surreal, how he had just watched his phone fall to the ground with a loud cracking noise, and he was apprehensive to examine the damage, even though just by hearing how it had landed, he could pretty much guess how it went. Shintaro glanced up at the person he had just bumped into, effectively blaming his phone's death on them in his mind even though he wasn't looking where he was going either. "My phone... it's busted... for sure."

Restock | Shintaro + Leone
Even though spring was drawing near, it was still chilly at night, prompting Shintaro to remember to put on extra layers before heading out towards the convenience store. This was his first late-night grocery run in a while, but had been deemed necessary when he reached into his box of coke and came up with empty air and disappointment.
He roughly shoved his hands into his pockets and burrowed himself into his scarf as he made the short trek from his apartment building to the nearby convenience store. The midnight air bit at his bare skin, and his walking speed increased. Thank god it was only a five minute walk at the max, and he breathed a sigh of relief when he finally entered the small store.
Immediately heading over to his aisle of interest, he grabbed five boxes of 12-pack sodas and put them in his shopping basket. Eyes lighting up when spotting the yellow sale sign on his carbonated drinks, he added another five boxes. Deciding that he might as well get some other things to so as to avoid having to go out for groceries again anytime soon, he went ahead and added a generous amount of instant noodle cups, and two giant bags of chips.
Shintaro was praying for a quiet cashier today. Last time he refilled his soda stock, the employee ringing him up insisted on asking him why he was buying so much soda, before he muttered a half-assed lie about having a party. It was embarrassing to admit to his very real dependency on the carbonated drink, so it was always a nerve-wracking experience. Fingers crossed, he lugged the heavy basket over to the cashier, and put it on the counter. He purposefully started digging through his wallet slowly to avoid any sort of potential contact with the cashier.

Coincidence | Shintaro + Yaku
âVocaloid sort?â Yakuâs aware of what Vocaloid is and how they sound like. Heâs seen a video or two on youtube âThatâs interesting.â Hearing that the other has one completed song, he was curious about it âCan I listen?â
It looked like he understood what he was talking about, which was a start, at least. Shintaro usually never got past this step when conversing to people about his work, but he was pretty sure he had a copy of his song in his music app somewhere... He fumbled with his earphones as he tried to locate the song.
He had never let anyone else listen to his song before, other than his close family and a few extremely close friends, so he was kind of nervous... âUh, here.â He offered the earphones to the other and started the song on his phone.
what's my prize?
13. Paint my characterâs nails
Shintaro had just nodded in response to whatever Sophie had been talking about, attention mainly focused on the phone in his hands. So when his left hand was pried from his beloved phone and set on top of the table in front of them, he glanced up in confusion. âHuh....?âÂ
The confusion in his eyes soon dissipated when he spotted the bottles of nail polish at the side. âW-wait, are you--?â But his protest came too late. One of his nails had already been attacked by the glittering substance, and he was now doomed to sparkly nails. It could be worse, he presumed, although still very reluctant about the entire deal. How much did nail polish remover cost?
"Whatâs my prize?"
22. Have a tea party with my character
Did it count as a tea party if he was drinking soda?
Ehh, why not. This was already weird enough anyway.Â
For some odd reason Shintaro would probably never be able to comprehend, Gareki had decided to come over to his apartment. But it wasnât as if he was going to offer one of his precious carbonated beverages to someone he basically just met, so he ended up brewing some tea instead, some weird chai stuff his mom had insisted on sending him, and offered it to his guest. He didnât seem to mind, so that was good.
â... Do you want to play a game?â he suggested after a brief period of silence, setting his empty soda can down on his desk. If he was going to have to hang out with someone, it might as well be fun.
âWhatâs my prize?â
24. Have my character teach yours something
Shintaro disliked working outside. Curious people were a dozen a dime here, and many stopped by to ask him what he was doing. However, upon trying to explain his work, they often left confused, probably due to his weak explanations and the technical terms he used that normal people wouldn't know.
It seemed, with professors, they understood a bit more.
âYeah, uh, you put the songs together and then it does this...â he mutters, pointing out various parts of the program used to mash these songs together. The teacher who had stopped by to ask him about his work hadnât left yet, so he supposes he would continue until they got bored or stopped understanding.
Whatâs my prize?
15. Be treated to a homemade meal from my character
Shintaro was not definitely any kind of cook, unless pouring hot water in cup noodles counted. He was pretty sure it didnât.
But what other offer could he have made? After unceremoniously spilling coffee on the other student, he couldn't just walk away and not expect any sort of repercussions. Unfortunately, he had spent all his money on that coffee, so he couldn't pay for this stranger's laundry, so he opted on taking him back to his small apartment and attempt to make something with the few things he had in his fridge.Â
That.. was not a good idea, in hindsight, and he was pretty sure something just exploded? .... Maybe he should just offer him an instant noodle. Those things were good anyway.
Whatâs my prize?
8. Get a song of your choice stuck in my characterâs head
Shintaro would never know why he ever thought this was a good idea, but it was too late to turn back now. He had been reluctantly hanging out with Hinata, and his acquaintance had been blasting the same song for over two hours, ultimately getting this song stuck in his head.Â
âWould you turn that thing off?â he says, spouting an annoyed look. âThereâs better things we can do than listen to that awful song on repeat.â
what's my prize?
19. Be treated to a movie night by my character
It wasnât as though it were particularly difficult to set up a movie night for the two, which was why Shintaro went with this idea. He felt a bit indebted to Yaku for hanging out with him all this time, and treating him to something like this felt like the best way to do that without actually having to thank him with words.
Since they always hung out in the lounge, Shintaro simply had to acquire snacks, and find a good movie they could watch. Reluctantly diving into his soda stash, and buying a few variations of chips and popcorn, he sat down and dumped it on the coffee table in front of him. âUh... I was thinking we could watch a movie today. Is that ok with you?â
"Why don't we head out and grab a drink together?"
If this man was willing to treat him to one, Shintaro didnât see any reason why he would refuse. He could just leave straight after, and would have gotten a free drink the process. Win-win for him. âIf you treat me to a soda, sure.â
"Okay, I admit it. Maybe I wasn't as nice as I should have been."
Shintaro huffs slightly, hands on his hips as he listens to the.... was this an apology, even if it didnât actually include the word âsorryâ in it? He concludes that itâs a half-apology, for Sophieâs sake, and nods. âYeah. You didnât have to force me into eating that food.. I would have eaten it eventually.â (That was a lie, but if it was going to get him a real apology, he would take it.)

Cuckoo | Shintaro + Hinata
hinata had long since decided he would befriend this person, who seemed utterly alone and if hinata had anything better to do, he would not be doing it because this person needed a friend. desperately. at least, thats how hinata saw it. he wasnt sure if he had friends, because he had never seen him with any. but that meant his plan was needed.
he had been going to the store to stock up on his cocoa puffs, when he had spotted the male with the peripheral vision of his eyes. he had promptly taken to yelling his name out loud in the middle of the store, and when he called out, the sunshine made his way over to the other happily, going to try his best at an attempt to make a friend.
âhey! fancy meeting you here, shintaro!â
  ....Uh, what?!
There were so many questions running through his head right now. Who was this kid, and how did he know his name? Shintaro nervously took a step back, just in case he had to defend himself from an attack or something of the sort. This was a dangerous situation, and he wasnât going to take anything for granted here.
â...D-do I know you?â he managed, especially wary of any movements this stranger was making out of precaution.
