Injuries, ailments, and all else for character writing
I know I’m not the only one who likes to put my characters through the blender, so I’ve compiled a list of various injury, illness, and medical stuff for your character needs
The sources below are a mix of actual medical sources (hospital/ gov websites), other helpful tumblr posts, and some personal accounts from places like Reddit (for the sake of seeing how a person who actually went through a certain medical event would describe it)
note: Sources certainly may not all be reliable, so please don’t count on these for any real diagnostic or medical treatment stuff— instead please seek appropriate medical attention. I’m no medical expert, so if you have any critiques to this please let me know.

Obviously there isn’t any actual medical applications to magic, so these are just all my own ideas VVVV
fatigue from using too much magic
too much healing magic to one area making it vulnerable (cuts/ bruises easily, brittle bones, etc.)
Elemental magic causing injury if used too much (frost magic causing frostbite, fire magic causing burns, death/ decay magic causing necrosis, etc.)
Illnesses being passed through magic; ex: a magic user has a cold, and after healing someone, the person they healed has a higher chance of catching that cold
does magic heal everything? Or is different magic required for treating injuries, viruses, illnesses like cancer, etc.
are there limitations to healing, such as internal vs. external? Or does it maybe require physical sources such as plants or light?
generally, are there any adverse effects on the magic user? On the person receiving the healing?
