i'd like to think that kyōtani is friends with most karasuno kids cuz him and yachi are stepsiblings, noya him and tanaka have been friends since they popped out the womb, and him and tsuki play together for the sendai frogs in the future
i truley think that kyoutani will dye his hair anything. like almost every week or every other week he will change it and he does anything. all one color. funky patterns. full like art works or pictures. anything. it’s a coping mechanism of his and either because of seijoh dress code rules or because of like official game rules (like the no pericing rule) he can’t do that but BLEACH is allowed so he’ll either do his basic stripes or a design he’d normally do but with just bleach lmao
yes!! i love this :) the idea of him finding loopholes in the rules is so good!! and him expressing himself with his hair is the best!!
kyōtani had trouble sleeping as a kid but he never wanted to sleep in his dads bed with him so he used to sneak into his dads room at night and take his dads shirts and wear them to bed, that and having one of his dogs in the bed with him were the only reasons he got sleep most nights in elementary and middle school
kyoutani sucks at any shooter type game
but he is great at pac-man and holds the high score record at the closest arcade
the bleach blond boys road-trip chaos is all that ive been thinking about for the past week
spewing my thoughts on this cuz i have a lot i wanna talk about (also idk where they're goin but its from tokyo -they had to pic up yamamoto- to somewhere else in japan and its like a three day two night roadtrip)
during the day tanaka is driving
hes complaining the whole time about it being too cold even though he has full control over the air conditioning and can turn it down if he wanted to
noya and yamamoto are always sitting in the back
noya is always in the right window seat because growing up thats where his carseat always was and its "bad luck" to change where he sits after 17 years
terushima and kyōtani switch from the back seat and the front seat at every stop
yamamoto sits in the middle back seat when kyōtani's sitting in the back and when terushima is sitting in the back yamamoto sits by the window
for the first half hour of the trip tanakas down to just his shorts cuz "im sweating my balls off", kyōtani is in the front seat trying to do his eyeliner but he keeps on messing up cuz tanakas going 70 when hes supposed to be going 35, yamamotos in the back listening to asmr with the bulkiest headphones known to man and somehow already asleep, noyas texting asahi frantically reassuring his boyfriend that hes fine, terushima has water in a spray bottle spraying tanaka in an attempt to cool tanaka off, terushima ends up drinking the rest of the water in the spray bottle and they have to make an early pit stop
after the first pit stop kyōtani finally got his eyeliner right and him and terushima switched, tanaka isnt as hot anymore cuz he finally used his resources and put down all the windows and turned the ac all the way up but we're swerving even more cuz hes eating pecans and hes not good with hand coordination (its an oddly specific headcanon ik dont ask-), terushimas basically vlogging the whole trip with how many snapchats and tiktoks hes made, noya is laying his head in yamamotos lap with his legs out the window face timing asahi who is scared shitless cuz that is obviously not safe, yamamoto has the aux and is blasting some weird song like anal & the dishes and cackling so loud you can hear him back in miyagi, kyōtani is completely upside down, his head is hanging off the seat and his feet are hitting the ceiling but hes still buckled somehow, and hes trying to count all the indents him and the others made in the roof of the car from punching it (gravity falls reference, ifykyk)
after many switches between kyōtani and terushima and many pit stops night comes and kyōtani is driving and tanaka moves to the front seat and terushima moves back to the middle back seat
kyōtani is raging as quiet as a raging kyōtani can get cuz everyone has their brights on and no one is using their turn signals and blah blah blah, tanakas asleep face down on the dashboard with his mouth wide open so hes just biting the dashboard at this point, noya is asleep but hes not even in his seat anymore hes on the floor laying down, terushima is face timing daishō while laying down almost asleep, and yamamoto is calling fukunaga way too loud for this time of night
this goes on for the next three days and two nights until they reach their destination and a hotel
when they get to the hotel they unpack and realize they bought enough snacks to feed a family of seven
they fight for the shower but kyōtani bit everyone and got in first, noya was second, yamamoto was third, terushima was fourth, and tanaka was the last
they all face timed and texted their boyfriends until either they went to sleep or their boyfriends did
yamamoto tanaka and kyōtani are in one bed and terushima and noya are in the other
at like 2 in the morning yamamoto gets up and makes cup mac and cheese in the microwave
terushima is a very light sleeper so he wakes up to this and decides to take another shower cuz "i went like three days without showering, if i took one last night and i take two today it'll cancel it out"
tanaka wakes up at around 3 cuz yamamoto was eating the mac and cheese in bed "accidentally" dropped some on his face
yamamoto and tanaka fight over the shower at around 4 waking noya and kyōtani up
tanaka gets in before him, then yamamoto gets in, then kyōtani takes one, then its noya, and finally its terushima
"yūji you dont need a fucking shower you already had one like two hours ago"
"I NEED TO CANCEL IT OUT KYŌTANI LET ME GO-"
thats about all ive thought of, idk where they went or what theyre doing their, i'll leave that up to your ✨imagination✨
kyōtani was the kid in middle school who sat at the back of the class because he already knew everything he was getting taught and he was getting bored. over time he decided that it was just stupid to sit around like that so he started getting into fights and acting out. he knew he didn't have any friends at the school that would have been disappointed in him for doing this so he just continued with it. he needed the attention. he didn't care if it was negative or positive, he needed it. he never got it at home, never felt the love of another person, he had never felt the warmth of a hug coming from someone who truly meant it, so he thought that the only way for people to actually notice him was to act out.
kyoutani is so fucking funny i love him. he rolls into practice late with some kind of croquette and can jump several feet in the air backward. he vibrates in oikawa's direction. he either has been wearing eyeliner since he was a child or has had the worst dark circles known to man since he was like, eight. and to top it all off he has neurodivergent transmasc swag what more could you want from a character
during a match in his third year, Kyoutani is absolutely sure that a person on the other team was laughing at him every time he got upset, which just made him more upset
(and he didn’t tell anyone except Yahaba, who was about to go beat the shit out of that person)
(ok but i swear to god that during a recent game i played, this girl was laughing at me because i kept getting angry at myself. it made me cry after the game, but i was about to beat her face in if she kept doing it)
Hmmm okay since I’m predictable here’s some Kyouhaba!!!
They actually met before high school, in a middle school finals game where Kyoutani’s team absolutely clobbered Yahaba’s. He was on the bench but he still held a grudge, and they actually fought about it the first day of practice at Seijoh. Kyoutani definitely didn’t remember him
Kyoutani has a really week immune system so he gets sick often, and Yahaba always comes over (because he’s the only one who can actually keep Kyoutani in line) and he pretends he doesn’t care but he always spends his pocket money on medicine and brings soup for Kyoutani
Yahaba doesnt get sick as often as Kyoutani, but he does injure himself a lot- he has chronic joint pain but he pushes through it and ends up injuring himself like an idiot. Kyoutani comes over if he skips practice and brings him his school work and helps him around the house
They both spend a lot of time at home alone- Kyoutani’s sister is in college and his dad works, and Yahaba’s older brother moved out, and his younger brother goes to boarding school, and his parents also work, so they call each other a lot after they start dating.
Kyoutani’s phone is super old and Yahaba teases him about it. He also doesn’t have any social media. Yahaba only has one Instagram account, where he posts pretty pictures. It actually has quite a few followers and he’s pretty proud of it.
Watari is actually the one who got them together, he’s a completely obvious wingman and Kyoutani and Yahaba were just. So tired of his awful attempts to get them together that they just. We’re like ‘hey Watari thinks we should date’ ‘yeah that’s probably cause I have a crush on you’ ‘what.’ ‘What’ and then they started dating
They’re super competitive and when they go to festivals they always end up with too many stuffed animals because they want to win one for the other, but then it turns into a competition to see who can get the biggest and then they run out of money
Yahaba goes to college for sports medicine and Kyoutani goes pro right away, but they both make sure to pick places in Tokyo so they can rent an apartment together
They’re both dog people but Yahaba tells Kyoutani he’s a cat person to irk him
When they move into an actual house together they get a dog
They’re both pretty smart- Kyoutani is a scholarship student at Seijoh, but he’s effortlessly smart, which really annoys Yahaba. Yahaba studies really hard and usually scores in the top 10, while Kyoutani doesn’t study at all and scored in the top 25
Yahaba is also part of the student government in high school! His older brother was the president when he was at Seijoh, but Yahaba only gets to Vice President
Kyoutani is also in the gardening club. Yahaba makes fun of him for it but that quickly ends after Kyoutani throws a shovel of dirt at him

Iwaizumi’s a drum major who has a friendly rivalry with the captain of the football team
Oikawa is another drum major, and a lot of people like him because he’s great at picking up on people’s individual weaknesses when it comes to playing or marching, so he gives advice tailored to that
I can totally see Kindaichi being interested in football and marching band, but he doesn’t think he can do both so he chooses football
Kunimi would probably be in drumline
Watari would be a saxaphone, i don’t make the rules
Yahaba spends his first year on the football team, but realizes he doesn’t care that much about it and joins marching band the next year (he plays the same instrument as Kyoutani, which Kyoutani doesn’t really like)

Kyoutani has an oral fixation, and I mean that in the way kind of like mine. He needs to be biting something, he has a chewing Stim. So he has those like chew stims necklaces, he is embarrassed about them but the team convinced him to use them after he had once made himself bleed from biting his arm to hard.
