I never imagined I'd reach a point where I'd be writing these words. I used to think the greatest pain was losing my legs… but I discovered that the greatest pain is feeling alone. I waited for donations. I waited for a message of support. I waited for someone to say, “We’re here.” But the days passed… and the notifications remained silent. Today, no one stands by me… except my crutches. They don't ask why help was delayed. They don't promise anything and then disappear. They don't let me down. Whenever I'm tired, I lean on them. Whenever my heart falters, they steady me. The crutches know my weight… and carry what humans cannot. I confess… for a moment, I lost hope. I felt invisible, that my story meant nothing to anyone. But despite that, I still breathe. I still try to stand, even if it's just with crutches. Perhaps my story hasn't reached its destination yet, perhaps relief hasn't come yet, but I will keep standing… even if the whole world is far away. Because I've learned one thing: even if people let you down, don't let yourself down.

It seems Tumblr is continuing with their mass deactivation of Palestinian blogs. This time they've gone after @nourfamily1989, a mother with five young children in Gaza. Please continue sharing and supporting her fundraiser while she tries to get her account back.
This fundraiser is Nour from Gaza, her husband, and their 5 children: Muhammad,… Gz Thrift needs your support for Help Nour's Family Rebuild
i'm in regular contact with nour and i want to highlight the following:
1) her youngest daughter ghazal, who is only two years old, has developed a speech impediment from the trauma of this situation, and her 13 year-old son muhammad has developed an autoimmune issue from lack of sanitation, constant insect bites and exposure to unclean water, recurring illness, etc.
2) my friends recently sent money to help nour buy winter clothes for her children, the prices of which will knock out a lot of what she received due to high demand and low supply. the costs of food, medical treatment, etc. are still very high.
3) many of nour's extended family members benefit from these funds as well. these are people who were already poor before the war, and now they can't work. all they can do is find internet hotspots and ask for help. that's where we come in.
if reading this distresses you, and if you're mad about tumblr deleting palestinians' accounts, the good news is that you're not helpless: even tiny donations make a difference.
I'm Amal, 33 years old. My husband Eyad is 39, and we have seven children: Hala (15), Nour (13), Abdelrahman (11), Mohammed (9), Omar (6), Ahmed (4), and baby Hoor, just 7 months old.

In the blink of an eye, we awoke to a devastating barrage of bombs. The war had begun, and soon tanks surrounded us as the northern Gaza Strip was declared off-limits. We fled immediately from the north, leaving behind my husband who had to stay with his elderly father who cannot walk. The presence of checkpoints and the prohibition of vehicles forced my husband to remain in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the north of Gaza.
My four-year-old son, Ahmed, suffers from diabetes. It is a constant struggle to find insulin injections and test strips. Weeks go by without being able to check his sugar levels, leaving me in fear of whether his levels are too high or too low.
Ahmed's condition break my heart
My children are the love of my life
I fled on foot, just ten days after giving birth. I carried my ten-day-old baby and my other young children, alone, fighting for their safety. A few days later, the northern Gaza Strip was completely isolated, leaving my husband trapped.
I cannot bear the panic attacks that Hoor suffers from the constant bombing
It was incredibly difficult to care for my children without my husband, moving from one place to another. I finally sought refuge in a shelter school in Deir Al-Balah.
My children have been deprived of their father, who used to provide all their needs. Their schooling has been halted, and their mental health is in ruins due to the war. My baby girl cannot get proper nutrition and is unable to sleep due to the constant sounds of bombs.
We share our room at school with 40 people, lacking water and sanitary supplies
My husband remains in the north, experiencing severe famine. Periodically, I manage to contact him, learning that he is still alive, but his situation is dire.
We want to escape Gaza and survive this tragic war, to build a decent life for my family, providing the basics of life: food, medical care, and a safe home.
Your donations can make a world of difference for us. Every dollar can help us escape this nightmare and start anew. Your generosity can reunite our family, provide essential medical care for Ahmed, and ensure my children grow up in a peaceful environment.

Your kindness and support mean everything to us. May God bless you for your compassion.
After being displaced from deir al-balah Omar and his family went back to KY and are staying at the rubble of what once was their home.
Omar spent 3 days building a small bathroom so himself and his family can have some comfort and privacy.
At this moment their campaign is only for 5,700 eur the price of a tent and the cost of evacuating one of Omar's younger sisters that was injured when their home was bombed.
They are barely seeing any support so at this point Omar gave up of evacuating himself and the remaining members of his family.
Please help us spread Omar's GFM.

Mahmoud Hamam ( @ma7moudgaza2 ) severely needs your attention RIGHT NOW!! At the time of writing this, his family is struggling to survive in South of Gaza due to extreme heat. The tent Mahmoud and his family lives in now feels as if it is boiling them alive. There is no proper ventilation which adds to the misery and because of this, most of the time the family has to spend out in the streets-> this is an indignity, not to mention dangerous too as it makes them all the more prone to the bites of disease carrying insects.
The displacement camps are overcrowded, with open sewers and shared communal toilets. Skin infections and other epidemics have become common amongst the children. A proper tent would at least ensure that the children and the elderly family members have somewhere to retire to and rest if they feel sick. Which is why Mahmoud is asking you to spare only $700 USD at the moment.
Please help Mahmoud get to the short term goal of $6,469 USD Currently at $5,814 USD. His end goal is only 25k but right now he needs your help to raise 700 dollars. Boost and donate.

Raghad El Niwairi has been fundraising tirelessly for over a year to help her family leave Sudan safely. The family has elderly and disabled members who are struggling with the immense strain of multiple displacements, as well as children and adolescents who are at particular risk of violence—including the possibility of being abducted as child soldiers.
Travel is expensive, and in addition to flight tickets and legal papers, the family also have continuing daily expenses for shelter, food, clothing, hygiene products, etc. Raghad and her family in Canada are already doing everything they can to provide for their Sudanese family, but conditions are becoming more dire by the day. Famine due to RSF crop burning is causing food prices to skyrocket, and Raghad's family are continuously fleeing from one displacement to the next. These are incredibly difficult conditions to live under; this family can't wait any longer. They urgently need the safety and stability that evacuation alone can provide.
This fundraiser has a very attainable goal of $25,000 CAD, and is just over halfway completed; let's get them over the finish line and out of harm's way. Donate and share now to get Raghad's family to safety.

dear moots/lovely lurkers,
allow me to introduce you once again to the ayyad's. they are a wonderful family of 8. all of them led beautiful, rich lives-- here are some of their stories:
"I am Asmaa from Gaza-- a lawyer and a graduate of Palestine University... I am 25 years old... I have also been living far away from my fiancé for two years, I cannot reach him because of the increase in the coordination price and the closure of the crossings and borders."
"My name is Israa from Gaza. I have always dreamed of becoming a doctor after I finish high school, but what happened in this war, the destruction of schools and universities, the suspension of education because of the war, and the death of many students, made me a girl who lost her passion and only wanted to end the war on the Gaza Strip."
"Hello, I am Sama from Gaza... I am 15 years old... I was studying middle school and my educational career stopped completely here in Gaza, our life stopped completely."
(the following excerpts were pieced together from posts/messages from asmaa and her younger sisters- israa and sama)
their family has been displaced numerous times. lost friends and loved ones. they don't live through the days- they survive them. no one should suffer through this immense pain on their own. there is power in numbers. please do your part by sharing/donating if you have the means

This is Saleh al-Din and her brother Huda, the children of my sister, who was not three years old, and they are now between a conflict between hunger and bombing in northern Gaza, which means from the war since October 7, Saleh and Huda has not seen their child. Saleh was flying over him. Saleh was shouting over him when he screams and says throw playing here. He wished a game to play instead of hearing the sound of shelling and feeling hungry, so I wish everyone who has a living conscience by participating in the publication or donating Saleh, Huda and the rest of my family so that we can live their child❤️💔
