ROR AS THE “BOW ON HIS BICEP” TREND
pt. 1: hercules, poseidon, ares

He’d be confused, if you just did it without a word to him. Regardless on if you explained it now or later, he’d agree and lend you his arm.
Need a flex? He’s got it. Though, make sure that ribbon is strong, or it’ll snap right apart! Hercules has quite the strong muscles.
He’s not as desperate for this moment as Ares, but he definitely loves to prove himself to you, whether it’s by silly things like this or by protecting you.
From the moment you asked for his arm, he’s been lost in the situation. You were so cute yet admirable, looking so focused. Yet, he didn’t know what for.
He simply offered his arm with no explanation needed, moving it a little more away from his body so you could move your hand in between to wrap the ribbon.
“Ah… So, uh… What’s this for?” He finally decided to ask, rather than being left in the dark.
When you explained, and maybe even had to show him a video or two of the (modern) human couples doing it, he finally understood.
“If that’s the case, I won’t object.” Not like he would’ve, either way…
He couldn’t help but smile at the sight of you so locked in on taking this video and perfecting angle. Quality time like this is what he relishes in, when it comes to you.
When you finally decided to tell him to flex his muscles for the camera, he was a bit uncertain.
“Flex? You sure?” He questioned you first, just to be sure. After all, the ribbon looked quite… thin.
Nonetheless, he listened to you always and tightened his arm muscle. Though, don’t be shocked if you hear a quiet snap next, and the ribbon drops somewhere on the floor.
Psh, goodluck with that!— He definitely would need a bit of bothering to convince him to just give up and let you! Not that he doesn’t think he’s strong enough— he just doesn’t want to. He gives no reason why, but asks why he’d need to do it.
Will give a minor flex, barely effort, barely showing what he can truly do, but it snaps the ribbon all the same, so he doesn’t really care.
While you’re whining about how he did it too quickly, he’s looking off elsewhere with his usual silence, as usual. Though, don’t think he’s not paying attention to you; his ears are waiting for that voice of yours to hit.
After numerous whines and begs to get him to put the ribbon on, he finally gave a defeated scoff, letting you wrap it on his right arm.
As you got the video ready, you barely had two seconds of positioning the recording phone til he just barely flexed his muscle, as if testing the ribbon, and a snap.
Once the shock of what even happened faded, you grew a bit annoyed at how he tried to act nonchalant… He knew what he did.
“Excuse me, sir, I did not say go!” But, he never listened, as if some cat, his head turned away. “Psh. What’d you think would happen?” What a tone he had.
In reality, he wasn’t looking at anything in specific; he just wanted to hear how your voice raised slightly as you did whenever you complained. He’s an impatient man, don’t keep him waiting for those reactions he wants so badly.
He’s been WAITING for this.
You just inflated his ego so bad, so congratulations or my condolences, whichever you prefer.
Lowkey, if you didn’t ask sooner, he might’ve just done it himself to flex. Well, if he wasn’t so into the disgusted-in-humans mindset.
So, with that, he might act like he’s above it or that he has better to do, but is doing it for you. Folding under zero pressure, at that.
The type to be like “Noooo, nooo, I couldn’t………. okay, let’s do it.”
Unlike Hercules, he’s most definitely trying to break that ribbon on purpose. All those other muscular Gods can’t compare to the bow-breaking real deal!
Plays it off like it’s casual, but you probably know better than that, and he’s probably expecting your praises for it.
When you asked for his arm, he was a little suspicious of you standing there, seemingly innocently holding a ribbon. To him, he had no idea what this ribbon could mean.
“What for..? And, what’s that ribbon for..?” He asked, eyeing you curiously. However, his suspicion dropped when you showed him the trend.
He tried to act calm about it, but he was just as excited as you, proven to you by how he looked so closely at the video, and then at his arm.
“I mean,” He crossed his arms, looking elsewhere but you. “I guess I could help you out with this. Though, I could be doing other things…” He mumbled.
“Here! use this arm!” He immediately gave you one of his arms, probably the one he considered his better arm, and watched with pure delight as you tied the bow.
As you recorded, he put some effort into contracting his muscles, as to ensure he’d the bow with ease. He was satisfied, seeing your reaction.
“Heh, guess I don’t know my own strength…”
