the concept of sigchuu is so GOOD to me; the two characters that absolutely MOG everyone in the entire series being together.. chuuya treating sigma like royalty and them bonding over their past (or, well. lack thereof..) and finding comfort in each other
sigchuu having soft spots for each other…dont even get me started on t4t sigchuu
i am on a break atm, im focusing more on my personal life and taking more time off social media ^^ to be transparent art has been burning me out a lot from how much i pushed myself to draw in such short spans of time .. i have a bunch of requests ill likely do when i feel better to come back/be active again
i feel like they’d be awkward as FUUCKK the kiss would be hesitant and messy and all sorts of wrong . and ofc they have no idea what they’re supposed to do after a kiss .. so dazai breaks the tension with a stupid jab to purposefully make chuuya lash out to go back to how they functioned before
(except dazai realizes later that was a stupid thing to say)
i like to think that also he THINKS its smart of him to do that and its intentional but a part of him also just blurts it out because of nerves lol
does this make sense 🥲🥲 its their first time living
i wouldve drawn the actual kiss but like. To be completely transparent i do nawt know how to do that
honestly i wasnt the biggest fan of this ship a whiiiileee back but i became friends with people who liked it and ive warmed up to it .. too much maybe.
Definitely not right now (or anytime soon really) but … in the future . Maybe. Im busy with other things in my life rn and ive realized im much more motivated and satisfied with my art when its for my personal projects ^^
I love your art and I admire your art style lots, I wanted to ask how you learnt how to draw? I personally can’t draw at all and I really want to learn! If you know anything that helped you, if that was a video, text, etc please share It! :p thank you in advance, have a great day and take care!!
hellooo !!! thank you so much ^^ personally i’ve been drawing pretty much my whole life, and i started digital art around quarantine time ! in all honesty my art progress and journey has been a veeery long and i still have a lot to improve on and learn …
heres a yap sesh (sorry i talk a lot)
i like finding artists who i admire and analyzing how they draw (ie color, lineart, rendering, etc) and using that to figure out and build my own style based off what i liked about theirs, which was especially helpful because i had always struggled with finding a style i liked/wanted to stick with — not only that but it teaches me things at the same time that i can incorporate into my art (ie .. learning how lighting works by observing how other people do it)
i surround myself with artists, consuming art alllll the time to get that fuel that i need to feel inspired to draw but also to analyze to get better!!
Honestly i dont really watch many art tutorials or anything like that 😅 or at least not anymore… one art youtuber i can recommend is samdoesarts, i think he breaks down the fundamentals of art really well with good tutorials and also has a bunch of entertaining videos that are also educational
Im sure there are a lot of good art tutorial makers out there but unfortunately im not the person to ask for that ..
I know it’s a very cliche tip but it’s seriously helpful so . practice !!!!! youll never get better if you dont practice and train yourself !!!! PERSONALLY i don’t force myself to draw everyday because it’ll usually only turn into frustration; i like to work at my own pace and just draw whenever i want to/feel like it instead of feeling like i’m being forced to. that’s what makes it much more enjoyable imo and i think its easier to be more authentic in your art and it makes you want to improve/practice more instead of being burnt out if that makes sense?
another thing that helped me is drawing my surroundings, in real life. sketching things that i see around me helped build my flexibility a lot ! all you really need is a sketchbook (or really just some paper) and a pencil!! people in front of you, far away from you, maybe there’s someone at a reception desk, or a couple eating out, or someone taking a walk with their dog.. inanimate objects too, like a bike, a chair, a music stand .. or even a background/scenery/setting ! it doesn’t have to be too complicated or even perfect; i found these quick sketches made it so much easier for me to draw with confidence without stressing ( and also kill some time )
Speaking of referencing . USE REFERENCES !!!! it’ll help actually make the information STICK in your head better because you use your brainpower to use that reference as a guide for your art instead of mindlessly copypasting or. Something.
now im not sure where you are in your journey but let me just say this in case . don’t let yourself be discouraged by other artists ! uplift others, and use them as a motivation and inspiration for you to get better instead of quitting !! i understand the feeling of discontentment or envy that may come from seeing other artists who are “better” but people don’t become suddenly talented over night . . everyone has their own personal journeys and goals theyve gone through (or going through) at their own pace and you’re no different 🧁🧁 everyone starts somewhere and you won’t be a pro at the very start!!
I wish you good luck and hope you have fun !! keep this motivation!!
