Sirius didn't see James as a brother. He didn't love James like a brother. Did he react to James's death the way Ron reacted to Fred's? Did Ron stop living and refuse to move on and stop caring about life completely when Fred died? The way Ron felt about Fred is actually how you feel about a close brother. Sirius didn't love James like a brother at all. Their relationship is not brotherly in the slightest.
Why are Snivellus fans looking at the prongsfoot tag? Could you guys go worship your favorite racist death eater who bullies children somewhere else?
I'm just going to say it. If you ship Sirius with anyone other than James, you don't know him at all.
Just a reminder that James Potter did ALL THAT because Sirius said he was bored. It was really just for Sirius's entertainment.
That's how much he spoils his Padfoot.
Might be a hot take but I think between James and Sirius, James would be the one who cooks. Because I feel like cooking is something you learn from a loving home. It's something you learn when you have loving parents or grandparents who teach you. It's something you learn when your house smells like herbs and spices. It's your mom showing you exactly how to hold the vegetables when you cut them and your dad showing you exactly how long to roast a chicken. It's something you learn from love.
I have the headcanon that Euphemia and Fleamont taught James how to cook because of course they did. It's something that happens naturally when you come from a healthy loving family. Meanwhile Sirius... I mean Sirius could learn it, possibly, when he gets pretty much adopted by the Potters. But it's weird to imagine a situation where Sirius knows how to cook while James doesn't.
Or maybe it's just my personal opinion.
I love good angst, but to say James was homophobic would be ridiculously out of character. James? Who grew up in the most progressive environment, constantly surrounded by nothing but love and acceptance? Who embraced Sirius and saw him for who he was, not where he came from? Who embraced Remus despite him actually not being human? He can accept Remus being a whole ass werewolf but not the concept of being gay? Do you see how ridiculous that is?
James was probably the least homophobic person in the entire universe.
