Kenma wakes up to the sunlight burning her eyes. She lets out a displeased grunt and scrunches her nose, turning her head to the side to avoid the invasive light. When she opens her eyes, and after the incomprehensible shapes turn into registered forms, she sees her girlfriend sleeping peacefully beside her.

It’s rare that Kenma ever wakes up before Shouyou. Yet, today, she sees Shouyou sound asleep next to her. The sunlight that leaked in from Shouyou’s painfully sheer curtains—which Kenma had cursed seconds ago for waking her prematurely—is illuminating her Shouyou in a way that makes her orange hair look as if it’s glowing and perfectly highlights her lips. Naturally, Kenma follows the light’s path and fixates on her lips. They’re slightly parted. They’re breathing in and out. They’re chapped from the cold outside air from the open window. They’re perfect because they’re Shouyou’s. Kenma's fingers itch to touch her lips, but she resists, not wanting to accidentally wake Shouyou up.

She hesitates in fear she might get burned.

I wrote this a year ago… I’m in NO way a writer but I still enjoy this concept a ton !
