haven't use tumblr in a hot minute lol
currently playing: gravity rush 2
my favorite fun fact is that like nier, they created a new language for this game that is supposed to "sound like French" but i've always thought it sounded like Portuguese and assumed that's what it was until looking at the wiki article !
another fun fact is that Keiichiro Toyama who also worked on silent hill, worked on gravity rush!!! and siren which i have yet to find for less than a few hundred dollars used :'(

end game final moments + my first play thru stats
i was so so so so incredibly skeptical of this game when it was announced. i had no faith in konami (iykyk) or a studio i had never heard of before, and early trailers really turned me off. i waited a couple of weeks for reviews from friends and other online sources whose opinions i valued to roll in before deciding to give it a shot and the only thing i can really say with certainty is that this game was an incredible love letter to the original.
i am truly blown out of the water by the care and attention they gave this game, with additions that didn't feel unnecessary to the story or like filler. my personal favorite moments were the original puzzle pieces scattered in each area. the melted wax in the prison, the broken music box piece in the hotel, the suitcase in the apartments. little things like that were so special to find.
i truly hope the success of this game leads to beautiful and thoughtful remakes of 1, 3 or 4 and inspires other retro titles (parasite eve cough cough) to be considered for remakes.
thank you bloober for not fucking this up 🩷
