Here’s what I am going to do.
Since I Feel as Though I am Not getting anywhere I will have to take the Second Step (This 1st was writing this Blog). Unless your Seeing this On Minds. Shoutout to Kibls, and Pele23 on Minds. So 1st Thing we need to Do is LIMIT the Number of Distros Out There. There is Literally way to many distros out there, Around 309. Why in the actual FUCK are there 309 Distros, WHY?!! Here is What could have Have Happened, lets Say, I will use ZorinOS as an Example, and Zorin is Ubuntu based mind you, but lets just Say That instead of releasing Zorin as a Distro, they Released themes. You see, Zorin is tailored toward people who want something new but also something familiar. The thing that is special about this OS is that has Themes tailored for People who have Previously used MacOS, Windows, and even Ubuntu.
We have another Problem we have Way to many desktops environment, there is Gnome, KDE, Cinnamon, Mate XFCE, and Unity (my Favorite). only 3 of these really matter,
Gnome, because it is the most popular
KDE, because its Second and the first (according to Wikipedia)
XFCE, because its meant to be Light weight. (Though LXDE is the Lightest)
I Purpose That Every Linux Distro is presented with two Options, Gnome and KDE, as to Not Confuse People. As for the XFCE option (and only if the creators have this as an Option for their Distro) There needs to be something on the Website Saying Something like, "Have Less than 4gb of RAM? We Recommend the XFCE Desktop", and then FUCKING Explain what the desktop Environment is and Compare the Look of the Desktops, Because I am Writing this and yet i am STILL FUCKING CONFUSED. I also think that If a Person doesn't want one of those Three options than the Site providing the distro should also provide options To be able to Download the DE's (Desktop Environment) and INSTALL Them! Here is a List of DEs I Mentioned Marketing in One of my earlier Posts, Obviously Linux Marketing sucks. How on earth can we expect people to Download Linux if Websites are Convoluted and Confusing, Documentation is not on the Menu Bar, its hidden somewhere else, and no one will explain the difference between all the DE's. We Need Linux to Succeed, Not to be this Convoluted Mess. So We need to Start Organizing Things. What I am going to do Now is talk about 5 Linux Websites and List the Pros and Cons. I Will Start with Ubuntu.
UBUNTU
Pros:
Best Looking Website.
Has a Search Bar.
Has Documentation
Cons
Too Many Options on the Menu Bar, Making things Convoluted and Confusing.
Search Bar Searches outside of Ubuntu.com and is not very Accurate.
Documentation is not on the Menu Bar
DEBIAN
Pros:
Menu Bar is easy to Navigate.
Has a Search Bar and it actually Searches within the Website
Has Documentation
Cons:
Layout Sucks
Documentation is not on the Menu Bar.
LINUX MINT
Pros:
Everything is front and Center, Nice Layout
Menu Bar is Organized, Nice Horizontal Sub-Menu Bar
Has Documentation
Cons:
No Search Bar
Documentation is Not On Menu Bar
FEDORA
Pros:
Great Layout and Easy to Navigate
Has Documentation
Cons:
Has No Menu Bar
No Search Bar
openSUSE
Pros:
Nice Layout, Easy to Navigate.
Cons:
No Search Bar
No Documentation
As You Can See these Websites Need to be fixed A good Website will have
Everything Front and Center (Linux Mint) and Very Attractive (Ubuntu)
Nice Layout (openSUSE) and good Menu Bar (Linux Mint)
Documentation on the Menu Bar (Redox OS)
Has a Search Bar that Searches within the Website (Debian)
Obviously Fedora Doesn't Make the Cut. Keeping things Very Minimalistic and Organized is the Key Linux Needs to be Organized in all areas, When the Distros are Being Made When we Setup the Website and When we Publish The Resources and Information and the way we Market this Information.
