Jesus is Enough

This blog is about God's amazing grace. We were all born into this world as sinners and deserving of God's judgement, but his mercy and grace give us hope for something immensely better...salvation through Jesus Christ. All we have to do is repent of our sins and believe in the gospel, Jesus has already done the rest. No works we do or how good our intentions might be, nothing will save us but the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is nothing more important in this life than our relationship with God. No matter how bleak, dreary, difficult or painful our lives may seem to be, always remember, Jesus is enough and His grace is sufficient for each and every one of us.

“Lord, bless this day and let Your will be done in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Today I place this day in God’s hands, trusting that His plans are greater than my worries and His timing is better than my own. I don’t need to understand every detail when I know the One who is guiding my steps.

There is peace in surrender. When we say, “Lord, let Your will be done,” we are choosing faith over fear and trust over control. We are allowing God to lead us where His grace has already prepared the way.

Every morning is a new opportunity to walk closer with Him. It is a reminder that His mercy is fresh, His love is constant, and His presence is available to everyone who seeks Him with a humble heart.

God’s will may not always look like our plans, but it will always carry purpose. Sometimes He redirects us, sometimes He strengthens us, and sometimes He teaches us to wait. But in every season, He remains faithful.

May this day be filled with wisdom, peace, and obedience. May every decision be guided by His Spirit, every word be seasoned with love, and every step reflect a heart that desires to honor Him.

Trust God with today. Release what you cannot control, pray over what concerns you, and believe that He is working even in the quiet places. His will is not only perfect; it is always filled with love.”

MATTHEW S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 17

Wednesday, 10/22/25

SCRIPTURE:

While He was still speaking, look, a bright cloud overshadowed them.  A voice from the cloud said, “This is My Son Whom I dearly love.  "I am very pleased with Him.  "Listen to Him!”  Hearing this, the disciples fell on their faces, filled with awe.  But Jesus came and touched them. “Get up,” He said. “Don’t be afraid.” ~ Matthew 17:5-7

OBSERVATIONS:

As if they hadn't been listening to Him for a couple of years already...

But they needed this emphasis - to LISTEN to Him...

...not just for the meanings in the parables... 

...but TO their meanings...

...and then to put them in practice...

"Blessed is he who has ears - a heart - to hear..."

APPLICATION:

Listen to Him!

Be filled with awe!

Get up!

Don't be afraid!

PRAYER:

Overshadowing Father God - I ask Your forgiveness for my failure to listen - May I be filled with the awe His presence requires... May I get up, unafraid, to face the blessings and accept the call of Your will for the day... In Jesus's strengthening Name, and for Your worshipful, praiseful, glory and honor...

Awestruck... and gettin' up!
