I really had fun in Japan two weeks ago 😁🇯🇵🥩 It's my first trip abroad ever since the pandemic. While many countries have already reopened their borders last year, i had to wait to become a regular employee in my new job to earn a "paid time off". I'm grateful nevertheless.
But just before this trip, my colleague died out of the blue. No one saw it coming even his family. It's still vivid on my mind, that Thursday afternoon he went over near my workstation so amused telling me that the girl in the poster in the elevator looked like me, wearing glasses and all that. I can't forget his smile. That was our last interaction 😔
Oftentimes, cliche statements like "life is short" lose its meaning until it does and it hits hard. Really hard. The sobering reality of life leaves you frozen, unable to respond.
Work and bills will always be there but your life won't. So please, don't hesitate to set up your ooo and take that vacation leave! ✈️
Ok back to work bye 👋😄
