I feel no shame in the length of time between my posts. We've been busy over here.
Putting out fires
being a super hero
crafting,
Picking flowers for Mama. . .
I don't care if my Turk's Cap never ever blooms in full again for all the "pruning" it's received this summer. Charlie says, "Mama, make a sad face." Then hands me a flower and says, "See, I got you a flower, you can be happy!"
Charlie got a new bed.
Sometimes he falls asleep underneath it on accident.
There was a vacation to Grapeland where Charlie was on the receiving end of a LOT of attention and a DOUBLE LOT of love.
He was a Ninja Turtle
I seriously have to pry this ninja turtle shirt out of Charlie's hands to wash it. If I tell him he can't wear it, he still wants to carry it around like a lovey. It doesn't smell at all. I mean, unless you're within 2 feet.
There were other moments I didn't capture on camera: lots of nature walks (with the ninja turtle mask on), swimming until our fingers were pruny, growing 2 inches in a matter of a month, having our house painted by a man named Sherbert who had to take a couple of breaks for jail and the like and an absolutely endless barrage of "because why?"s.
It's been perfect.
